I've gone through the new album a few times now and I just can't get into it. There's maybe 2 songs I like (Empty House and Tear It Up).

I completely disagree with them that this is "the sound they were looking for". If that was the case, why is it nearly 180 degrees from 2 full albums and a few other things? It's not like they're a pop band...at least they weren't. Now, I don't know. I think they were just pissed about how they were labeled and changed for the sake of change.

I totally agree with this review in Paste...

They lost something on this album. I'm sad.

Radiohead - Hail To The Thief.

I now feel stupid for having shunned this album for so long.

I'm also very high on drugs.

Been jamming to MuteMath's new album Odd Soul since October. Listen to it everyday, it's that sick.

Got to see them live in January at House of Blues. They are one of those bands you have to see live to get what they are all about.

    Animal Collective - Feels
    Paul Bley - Closer

Geez, every time I listen to Feels, I am beginning to think this is the best album by AnCo. It is definitely the one that reminds me the most of Radiohead.

Starting tomorrow, I'll be listening to Porcupine Tree and Spock's Beard, two great underrated bands.

I've heard it described as Animal Collective's Kid A.

I am listening to "Loch Raven" right now. Such a killer tune.

No mention of the band name anywhere, Rashmon... is it Magazine?
That looks like Howard Deveto (X-Buzzcok) up front.
