3 unsuccessful (getting it right costs nothing) challenges per game, a failed challenge results in a free throw for the other team.
a sport that can have its final 30 seconds take 10 minutes+ to complete has no basis to that claim, none, zip, zilch.
Mate, I apologised. Bygones? Can't we all get along? And this wasn't a whining thread, it was a venting thread...with a poll gauging Clutchfans view on a football style challenge flag system. Commiserate - I believe it is to feel sympathetic or empathy towards someone. Bro fist? Bury hatchet?
The challenge flag won't solve much, I'm afraid. You had the equivalent of a challenge flag on the Lee three, and on one of the replays you could clear as day see wood between Lee's toe and the line. Refs still missed it. The only way the officiating will ever get better is if Stern leaves and whoever the new commissioner is insists on actual discipline for officials. Until missing paychecks becomes a real possibility, officials will remain the same whimsical buffoons they are now.

what about the offensive foul on dragic toward the end. i didnt see a foul and was wondering why he get called. does anyone know what he did or remember this?
i was at the game...I was so mad cause dallas fans were like.. "he hit dirk"..omg the ref was behind the play. COMEON!
This. I was at the game, sat 2nd row near Mavs bench. The game was called fairly. The only thing I questioned was Courtney Lee's 3pt being called a 2, but they had instant replay on that one so I'm guessing they made the right call.
So, if an opposing team gets superstar calls you say the refs suck and the NBA officiating should be re-evaluated, but if Houston got superstar calls you wouldn't have a problem with it. Am I right?
Guys, we lost the game because Jason Terry killed us with big shot after big shot. The refs didn't make his shots go in and the refs didn't blow up our defense when he went straight to the rim for an easy dunk in the final minutes of the game. Defend Jason Terry better and we win.
will you please watch the video above and tell me where exactly Lee fouled dirk? or since you were so close you shoulve seen yourself.
We also win if we get any kind of bench production. Having two bench players as starters is no excuse. I thought Chase played a tired game, certainly not playing as if he knew the implications of the game until the 4th quarter. He didn't make the most of the minutes he was provided. He has to step up in a game like this. In retrospect I think the Rockets try a combo of Camby and Parsons on Dirk the next outing.
That's BS the while superstar theory its just the stern era against Houston. When we had Yao and TMAC we still didn't get the superstar calls.
courtney lee in his post-game interview said he didnt touch dirk, and he even asked dirk if he touched him and he said no. soooooo there you go.
this is bball....no instant replay....but they need a panel to judge these refs....and if they suck send em to the d league.....i am getting sick of this bs too...
