yep, trying to be cool. we lost that game just because of one bad call that the refs may or may not have made.
I believe lee poked dirk in the nose, which is not a play at the basketball. We were lucky enough just to walk away with a foul and not a flagrant II. Ruck the Feffs!
maybe one of them will turn into a superstar. Maybe we win the Loterry and get Anthony Davis( problem solved) Kevin Mchale would turn Anthony Davis into Hakeem
Im one to say refs goes both ways, each side gets their calls but today was wow. I can agree with some calls ie Dragic's offensive foul but in the 1st, there was two particular calls that irk'd me. Non calls I should say.
Only problem is I think Morey would pick a safe bet lottery player....we got two of those already....
Hmm we traded a 1st for TWill, was he a safe bet? Was Marcus Morris a safe bet? Clearly Morey is trying to gamble but when all you have (or have to offer) are 14th-16th picks, wtf do you expect?
What is this may or may not have made bull****? That was clearly not a foul. It wasn't like the Lee shot that looked like a 3 that was at least debatable (my Lakers fan friend said it was a clear 3) Also it looked like the Rockets were getting hacked quite a bit.
The sad thing is even when WE have stars we don't get the favorable treatment. Yao was probably the worst officiated player in Rockets history. T-Mac may have gotten superstar calls, except he rarely bothered to take anything but 20-foot jump shots. Even Hakeem, one of the greatest centers of all time, didn't really enjoy the full superstar-effect on offense. On defense IIRC he generally gets a lot of leeway, but so did most top centers at the time. Hakeem was officiated more like a regular star than MVP caliber player.
It's obvious that David Stern and the NBA are not concerned about protecting the integrity of the game. You can't use the argument of human error b/c it is clear that these errors are disproportionately high (calls or no calls) wrt to superstars. Further, they would NOT allow a review-system like the NFL b/c they want to be able control players/games/series/subsequent-round matchups to drive games to better markets for higher ratings and revenue thus perpetuating the superstar-biased NBA. I hate David Stern and I hate his NBA.
THIS IS ****ING BULL****! DAVID STERN AND THE NBA OFFICIALS NEED TO BE SHOT IN THE HEAD! I'M FED UP WITH THIS SUPERSTAR CALLS AND OTHER SUCH FAVORS. INCLUDING FLOPPING AND CHARGES. I BEEN A DIE HARD FAN OF THE ROCKETS SINCE I WAS SEVEN AND IM THINKING DAVID STERN REALLY HATES THE ROCKETS. I WILL TELL YOU THIS AND PRETTY SURE MOSTLY EVERYONE ON HERE AND ROCKETS FANS AROUND EVERYWHERE ELSE WILL AGREE THAT WE ARE A CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM BY ADDING A SUPERSTAR, BUT NO ONE WANTS TO ****ING COME HERE. THEN **** THEM TOO! THEY CAN TO p***y b**** ASS LA AND NEW YORK. GO GET GLAMORED UP AND PUSSIFIED. AND IF DWIGHT DOESN'T WANT TO COME HERE, HE SHOULD QUIT PLAYING AND BECOME A LOUSY ****ING ACTOR. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE NBA? WHAT HAPPENED TO SPORTS IN GENERAL. IT'S ALL ABOUT ****ING MONEY. WELL I THINK IF THAT'S THE CASE, HEY LES ALEXANDER AND DARYL MOREY, HOW ABOUT GO AND SPEND SOME MONEY ON LURING A SUPERSTAR HERE. CONVINCE THEM HARDER OR GET HAKEEM TO LURE THEM HERE. AND THAT BRINGS ME TO ANOTHER THING. HOW COME ALL THESE SUPERSTARS ARE COMING TO HAKEEM AND ASKING FOR HELP WHEN IT SHOULD ROCKETS PLAYERS ASKING FOR GUIDANCE. WHY IS HAKEEM HELPING NON ROCKETS PLAYERS IN THE FIRST PLACE?
I actually think that would be a good idea. It may make the refs think before they automatically blow the whistle when someone breaths on a superstar. I doubt it will ever happen though.
