I always wondered why people hated on Clyde as TV analyst....

Everytime I listen to Clyde, I have to wrap my head around the fact the University of Houston hired Clyde as a head coach.

 

He's nothing but cliches and meaningless drivel and lately arguing with Bill about everything. He's just plain lazy when it comes to his job as an announcer. I keep waiting for Bill to throat punch him just to shut him the hell up.

I dont even want to know what the previous context was before that. Like itd make sense with anything anyway.

 

LOL I really liked that diss he had on Carlisle though. Bill mentions something about Carlisle having played with McHale back in the 80s, and Clyde says "And he was on the bench back then too!" Thought that was a sick Drexler burn... other than that he was his usual terrible commentating self.

 

Clyde is accidentally hilarious. Makes me smile.

 

Clyde had me rollin' with that one, bruh.

Clyde is beyond pathetic as a commentator and he's getting worse. This can't go on. He really makes the home broadcast hard to listen to.

 

Bill nearly lost it a couple of times tonight.

 

Funniest thing he's ever said in his life. That possibly bought him another season.

The funny thing is, yesterday I went back and watched the "Double Clutch" videos about the Rockets 1995 championship season. Every time they had Clyde talking on there I thought "Holy crap, he actually sounds very intelligent and well-spoken there."

Then I watched the game tonight and quickly remembered that he's a pretty horrible commentator.

 

He says the most obvious **** EVER, maybe it because i know way to much about basketball but still.
