This is the GARM, it is meant for HOUSTON ROCKETS TALK.....

Not general NBA type of polls comparing two players.

Tyreke Evans is a chucker and a stat compiler.

James Harden is an elite SG . Right now he's playing 3rd fiddle. If I were OKC I would trade Westbrook for a true PG, and keep Harden.

Nobody that actually watches basketball would think Evans is better.

    Yeah. So does Ginobilli.

Question is what would Harden do on the Sacramento Kings next to Cousins?

Answer: He would be rocking Cousins and he'd still be rocking.

Oh.....and Reke with his dribble mania and fadeaway jumper would be riding the pine in SA and OKC because it doesn't fit into the TEAM and make the TEAM better!

Oh I agree I think he is a great player. But I'm not so sure he is an "elite" player or SG yet...

"Reke with his dribble mania and fadeaway jumper would be riding the pine in SA and OKC" - I'm not so sure about that...

SAC is rumored to be strongly considering a trade of Tyreke Evans in the offseason. This is a guy who they once thought was their franchise player. That's how far Evans has fallen.

    LOL.

Harden takes 10.4 shots per game and uses 19 possessions a game if you throw in .44 (FTA) and assists and turnovers.

Reke takes 15.2 shots per game (46% more shots) and uses 24.7 possessions a game if you throw in .44 (FTA) and assists and turnovers.

So, if you take Reke's shots and usage down to Harden's level, you can approximate what Reke would do on the Thunder if he got Harden's touches and maintained his own crappy shooting percentages.

    11.8 PPG, 3.7 APG, 3.9 RPG

Now, compound this with the fact that 43% of Harden's shots are threes on which he shoots 38% while only 12% of Evans' shots are threes and for good reason...because he only shoots 21% out there. If Evans was taking the three point shots that Harden takes, his shooting percentages would be even more dismal and his scoring even worse. Dare I say, he'd wind up riding the pine because his game doesn't fit. Evans is a ball-hogging dribbling maniac jump shooter who wastes shot clock time and stagnates a team's offense. He wouldn't even make it in OKC. They'd be trying to get rid of him. He's Russell Westbrook without a three-point shot.

.....and we haven't even discussed defense.

although i agree with you, a possible counterargument would be that Harden often plays against the second stringers and does not receive much attention because of Durant and Westbrook. If Tyreke had less attention focused on him, maybe he would be more efficient.

I don't know how justifiable the counterargument is, but it probably would have some merit. Like I said before, I would take Harden too.

Btw, Harden's defense is not something to be proud of

Harden is miles better than Tyreke defensively.

Also, Tyreke's favorite shot is the dribble between the legs, set 'em up, fadeaway jump shot. He can't catch-n-shoot worth a flip. He can't shoot the 3 off the catch or off the dribble either one. Tyreke is not a triple threat. He has to put the ball on the floor and either get off a jumper inside the 3-point line or somehow lure the defender to close out so he can drive for the finish. That is it! 2 options. He has to put the ball on the floor to be effective.

If Tyreke was playing alongside Durant and Westbrook, the defense would be funneling the ball to him and letting him shoot those stupid fadeaways. Any defense is going to want to give that up rather than give up a shot to Durant and Westbrook. They'd be happy to let him catch the ball at the 3-point line so they'd constantly be fading into the paint to help cover Durant and Westbrook. IT would clog up the floor for Durant and Westbrook and Brooks would have to get him out of there because he was dribbling and dribbling and taking the ball out of his big two's hands.

You pretty much biased the thread by mentioning that harden would win by a landslide. I voted harden anyways

They usually don't see things like that.

Tyreke is the more complete and more talented player. That's not even close. At his height, speed, and size he can do anything on the floor for you. People forget that this dude was getting near triple doubles as a rookie?

Yeah he's not mentally there, but it is more of a mental on court burden when you are the go-to guy on your team and more of a learning curve to be a leader.

You can't really compare their FG% because one HAS to take more shots than the other. One has to dominate and have a amazing game if his team is going to win and that's going to take out some of his energy on defense (also being on a terrible team will do that as well.)

But come now. Reke was ROY for a reason. It's not no 'landslide' and it shouldn't be.
