    Some infos:

Marbury finished with 36 points, 6 rebounds 5 assists and 4 steals on 12-for-17 shooting. Incredibly, a EuroBasket.com boxscore notes he was fouled 14 times during the game. Beijing went on to win 108-101.

I think he's crying, because he will never win an NBA championship ring. He works his whole life and his lifetime achievement is only a Chinese basketball trophy.

I would cry, too. *sniff sniff*

That's a pretty callous thing to say.

It seems to me like Marbury is enjoying his life in China and has found purpose on his new team. From his interview about the series it seems like there was quite a bit of emotional investment from his corner.

Don't count him out yet. If he shows anything at all in terms of emotional/psychological maturity, he could very easily wind up in Miami or LA or Orlando or somewhere else on a championship team. Very easily.

such a hater, can't you just respect his passion for the game? going to china for a player usually means you aren't wanted in the NBA, this would undoubtably make you feel like you can't play at a high level anymore. he showed himself he can still ball, and that his life in basketball isn't over.

This would be kind of endearing if not for his history of emotional instability...

He was a major nutcase but I appreciate his enthusiasm for the game if it is genuine.

Yeah the Chinese league sucks dragon balls but he didnt take it for granted and worked well with his teammates.

I have more respect for him now than for JR Smith or the Birdman.

If Mike Harris and Wang Zhi Zhi are double double threats, you know the league sucks. No NBA player seriously looks at the chinese league as even remotely competitive. It's not even JV level compared to the NBA.

You are kidding yourself if you think he is making millions every season. The salary for all the players on the team put together might add up to 1-2 million at the most.

Can't tell if you just really don't like Marbury, or really don't like the CBA.

You do realize that Wilson Chandler was paid more than $2 mil last season in the CBA? JR Smith was paid $3 mil. Obviously, this is peanuts compared to NBA standards, but you're gravely mistaken if you think the CBA is complete devoid of capital.

Marbury took a much smaller contract in exchange for the team's ownership creating a company to market and manufacture his shoe brand.

lol @ you doubling down on the haterism.

Sure, most would agree that Marbury is done in the NBA, but I'm not sure why that means he can't get emotional over a playoff game in China. I don't see anything embarrassing about a player taking his game overseas once he gets too old/slow for the NBA. I can't think of a single player in the history of the NBA whose skills didn't fade over time.
