5 Games before the tear Kevin Martin averages 29.2 PPG

5 Games after the tear Kevin Martin averages 6.4 PPG.

Maybe, just maybe this injury affected him?

I've been waiting for the announcement that he's going to be shut down for the season.

I expect it to be followed up by a draft day trade. Phoenix for TE and their mid-first rounder would make sense.

That is just way too logical a conclusion for clutchfans.

People, this isn't good. At all. How can anyone actually be happy about this:confused:

What was Kaman's expiring value worth around the deadline? Where did he end up?

What did Antawn Jamison return in a trade?

Nah, its because McHale didn't know how to use him effectively and he's a system guy.

Probably so, and it may spell the end of his days in Houston.

Why he was allowed to linger on the floor with an injury such as this really reflects poorly on the staff.

If you look at Martin's minutes and PPG, they were at normal levels until early February. KM not fitting in is a red herring fans like to toss around when the team isn't playing really well, or when the team is playing well without the player in question participating.

I agree with Bima that being happy with Martin being out an extended period is silly, but for basketball reasons (no pun intended), not for trade purposes.

I think this is what is most troubling to me as well. Why in the world it took them so long to do an MRI? We've seen this exact type of things with T-Mac and Yao as well.

The problem is that I don't believe anyone is HAPPY per se, but some of us believe the team is better off with other guys playing instead of him.

At least that is how I feel.

Well that explains his stats then. There is no real drop in his value to other teams since he was still able to average 17 points while injured.

What's a labral? If that's in the brain or in the heart then I knew it all along.

Injury prone player being injured? Or the Rockets medical staff taking another blow?

Muscle strengthening is what is usually recommended to rehab this type of injury. We all know Kevin Martin loves to strengthen his muscles.;)

I can't believe how much Martin hate there is here... People are so damn short sighted. When he was feeling good this year, he looked damn good. Thanks to McHale's play-well-(including-defense)-or-be-benched philosophy, he was even working pretty hard on D.

Whether or not Lee is better (which is extremely debatable), a healthy Martin definitely makes us a better team.

No it's a player who needs to get stronger to avoid injury. He has sustained injuries and he needs to do proper muscle strengthening to avoid future ones.
