Agree completely with the previous part of your post but I also hope they don't waste their time to redo the ending. You only get one shot at a ending. These guys at Bioware spent tons of time thinking about this ending, years even. It's what they went with and now they are just going to have live through it. I know this ending had to be years in the making because there are a ton of writer who actually flesh out the ending before the beginning. hell, it's probably why you are shoehorned into the damn thing in the first place.
On second note, in the end I really don't give a **** if it's a prequel or sequel, we all just want more ME games, the universe they created with all these races and culture is a masterpiece that I want to be part of for many more years. Especially with the next console generation waiting, the potential is massive.
Anyone else find ME1 to be incredibly boring now, having played this game? ME1 is soooo slow compared, especially in the beginning, compared to ME 2&3. Just started a Renegade Adept Femshep but feeling damn bored right now with the first missions.
Personally, I'd like to see a fixed ending. Would it be as good as if there had been a good ending in the first place? No, but it'd be better than what we currently have. A different ending would make it much more likely for me to not only replay this game, but the entire series. I don't know if BioWare should necessarily be "forced" to do it though. I'd hope that they'd acknowledge how bad the ending is (at least privately) and WANT to send Shepard's story off on a better note. Fallout 3 changed it's ending through DLC. IIRC, it wasn't that the ending was bad, it was just that at the end of the main storyline, the Lone Wanderer died and you couldn't keep playing the game and doing other side quests and side plots. There wasn't the pressure to change it like there is with ME3, but Bethesda realized that they made a mistake and decided to change it.
But finding those minerals, medallions, and signs of battle are as exhilarating as they get! The only good thing about ME1 is the unlimited ammo.
But those overheating when shooting gets annoying as fuuuu. That will be hard playthrough now, plus you can only quickmap one power.
Jieer boiiiii. You gonna love this game, trust me. I just started my Renegade playthrough on ME1 but the game seems like crap after you played ME3. All that driving on planets with your vehicle instead of just playing the missions is frustratingly boring. They should remake the game, keep the story and throw out all the driving. I'm seriously having a hard time enjoying the game right now.
ME1 seemed okay after ME2, but when you played ME3 you realize how much better they made it by increasing the intensity and pace. If it wasn't for all the choices you make and import in 2&3 I wouldn't play it at all. And that comes from somebody who started with ME1 and absolutely loved it back in the day.
You sure infiltrator is the way to go right ? I'm not gonna get time until later tonight (around 10 so maybe a 3 hr session ) so I have time to decide.
I personally loved it because you can sneak your with Tactical Cloak and can headshot your enemies, it's one of my favourite powers in the game as you can kill most opponents with two or three shots. Buy the Black Widow and you're money. I'm currently intrigued by the Adept though, it should be fun to use all the biotic powers to control/hurt a bunch of enemies at the same time with Singularity, Warp, Lift, Throw,... You don't have to be one if you pick Liara for your squad though, it's also one of the toughest classes to master along with Engineer. But still I just started ME1 with it and will carry my Adept through all three games because I think it's one of the coolest classes. Many people in the Bioware community love the Vanguard, it's one of the most used classes after Soldier and Infiltrator. Vanguard is good with weapons and powers and is very effective with Charge, Nova, Pull and Shockwave. In the end it all goes down to your preference, all the classes are fun to play, but I prefer the ones I mentioned.
I started vanguard but it gets kinda old after a while. I played soldier and it was cool but I wanted the powers. I loved infiltrator in 2 and I guess I will continue here too. Thanks
They added a Sticky Grenade power which is pretty nice and powerful. AI Hacking is replaced by Sabotage, it's nearly the same with weapon overheating and letting synthetics fight for you. I think you already heard about the skill trees where you have to choose between from lvl 4-6 of each power. You can choose for bonuses on sniper damage, headshot damage, sniper time-delation etc, it's pretty sweet.
PS here is a nice guide for Infiltrators: http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Infiltrator_Guide_(Mass_Effect_3) You can find the guides for all other classes there, too.
Yea, this and Casey's statement. We'll have to wait and see how they pull this off. We've been discussing it on the last page(s) I think.
