I live right here in the great state of Texas with a concealed permit and packing more heat than one of esteban's sizzling guitar solos.
If someone were to egg Mrs esteban I will not respond with deadly force. However, my hands are super fast and if I'm with her I will catch them and make her an omelet.
A lot of others have commented on this post already but I can't resist. This is the first I have heard of Zimmerman actually being found guilty. Metaphorically perhaps he has but as others posters have noted many others have for the last 20 years been taken to task over the internet. This is somewhat tangential but I am curious if you, Bigtexxx, gwayneco and anyone else who feels that Zimmerman is getting railroaded online felt that Shirley Sherrod got railroaded when a highly edited video of her went viral that ended up costing her her job even though what she was actually saying was the opposite of what the video purported? Except that without the public outcry this case would've been swept under the rug. The Sanford PD were fine accepting Zimmerman's explanation of the situation and even went so far as to defend Zimmerman's character and alter witness statements to match Zimmerman's story. It is the the outcry that you are criticizing is why there is a further investigation of the case. Of course Zimmerman deserves a full hearing. He is not being denied his due process. We would never have gotten to this point unless this case got the publicity that it did.
I love how people like to pretend there is no injustice when a police department found a dead black kid, sent his killer home, clothes and all, simply accepted his excuse as the blind truth, and couldn't even be bothered to find out who the kid was and how to notify his family for three days while an anguished mother wondered what in the world had happened to her son. They had his cellphone and didn't even bother to try to call the last person he talked to, if only to let somebody know that their friend/son was dead. Just some black kid, walking around in the wrong neighborhood, up to no good. Who cares if he has a family?
QFT. Pretty much sums it all up. I still can't believe Sanford PD didn't call anybody on his phone. Just watch The First 48 to see how competent cops do their jobs.
What do you expect them to do after this kid attacked Zimmerman? I mean poor Zimmerman barely escaped with his life for goodness sake. There was no need to call because this savage probably didn't have a familt anyway. He lived on the street attacking grown men. And besides...If there were any doubts that the Sanford police dept had about Zimmerman's story remember this... Trayvon was just a negro...The Pre-Crime unit in Sanford already knew that Trayvon was going to commit a crime sooner or later. One less future crimminal to worry about.
