To compare Bud to Martin is just foolish. Martin was/is still our leading scorer even with the injury. He gets paid 12 million dollars which is in line with what second tier star players make. Name me a player that makes less than Martin that produces as much as Martin does that isn't on a rookie contract.

I've had the same injury and it required surgery. Pre-surgery, any movement where the arm is raised it is incredibly weak (and painful). I hope that it's just a minor tear that needs to rest/therapy.

Actually, this whole season has gone down exactly like you hoped. You are getting exactly what you wanted, and we will see how that works out, but I called for both Martin and Luis to be dumped last Summer, and Martin's value will never be that high again.

    Another year wasted.

I think Lee has earned the starting job over Martin and I suspect McHale sees it that way too. How much more valuable do you think Martin’s bench production would be over what Budinger gives us? I certainly don’t think 12X as much. I think Martin was a valuable player for us last season, but he’s just not that valuable to this particular team anymore.

    It is

    :)

Actually I think the Rockets are better without Martin playing one minute, it opens up more playing time for Lee, Parsons and Bud who are all better defenders, and move the ball around a lot more than Martin.

Kevin is not exactly lighting it up this year, people think he is a good shooter, but the truth is he really isn't....he just has a higher than avg EFG% because he tries to draw the foul, but his numbers are down across the board because he no longer gets that call.

    And his D sucks.

That is not to say he is a bad player, but the Rockets TEAM is better as assembled without him ever playing a single second of any game.

Exactly. K-Mart even said it. They Run plays so he can't do much and he said he's not the Kapono type of player or whatever player he said...I mean he can score thats good for us and Lee in 2nd half...thats smart both can score double digits and Lee defense and hopefully martin do more defense , actually his rebound assists and steal...last year dude was up there averagin 24.6? but yeah...

Are you actually saying you would rather have Bud than Martin? Seriously? I expect that from DD who has an irrational love affair with scrubby white players, but I don't expect that from anybody else?

Yeah, I would, no doubt, Bud is a better shooter than Martin this year, better defender, better rebounder, better passer.

    So, of course....

Kmart is a great scorer, but this team doesn't need a one dimensional scorer, we have a team based approach, where everyone plays D, everyone passes, everyone scores - there is not one ball stopper in the starting lineup right now and it is awesome to watch.

Our two best players on paper miss extended time... are expected to continue missing time... AGAIN (Yao/McGrady)...

And we're in the hunt. Looking to actually punch someone in the face when the playoffs come. AGAIN (Lakers with no Yao)

And Y'all STILL b**** and moan about Morey?

Y'all are some suckers. Buncha AirFans up in here.

No, I’m saying I’m fine with moving Martin for a pick in the 20’s because he’s not that valuable in this system playing less than 20 minutes a game behind Lee. If Utah makes the playoffs perhaps Minnesota will send over their Utah pick for K-Mart. The would be a sweet mid-range pick.

I didn't say Budinger was a higher caliber player at all, but nice poll anyway.

Anyone else find it troubling it took this long to notice there was a tear? Doesn't reflect too well on the staff.

It's not great the man is hurt. Although the team is better off without him...it's also not great though because his trade value just took a nosedive.
