Hey - who knows how soon Lowry comes back. And there is Llull's contract to consider. Management decisions and we don't have the inside scoop on the information needed. But I think we all can agree that it would be nice to have Lowry back.
The key with the new CBA is to retain your players bird rights. It gives you a distinct advantage even more than before because you can not trasfer the benefit of signing with your same team using a SnT. Morey already had this philosophy before and I suspect he will continue this philosophy going forward. So give the kid a 3 year deal with all kinds of options and outs all in our favor.
It certainly would but when Bill Worrell said Lowry may be out all year, I think he let something slip. DD
Yup, I wouldn't be suprised if in a few days they announce Lowry out for the season. Wouldn't be the first time..
IF Lowry ends up being out for the year, lets trade him while his Value is sky high and sign Dragic to be our point with a similar contract as Lowry has now and bring Llull over to back up Dragic.
According to Basketball-Reference, there have been a total of 4 guys with the first name Courtney to play in the NBA. Half of them play for the Rockets right now. That's all I have.
LLul's contract in EU has a hefty buyout for next season - He wont be over till the 13/14 season when the buyout cost drops off considerably. Remember the team can only pick up so much of the tab (I think its up to $300k) , the player has to foot the bill for the rest. LORD , lets hope he's not out for the duration. As well as Dragic has played , Lowry being out really screws up their rotation & leaves them very thin at PG. Just take a look back to the Phoenix game when Dragic picked up two fouls and the team was never able to recover.
Impressed I was impressed. He showed some great moves to the basket and hit open players in stride. The defense that he plays is solid.
Still looked pretty good. Very aggressive. Not afraid of contact. He chucked some 3-ptrs out there. Needs to take less of those and more of trying to attack the paint and find an open shot for others. Nonetheless, I'm still impressed. AND he's got great hair. Parsons might get second for great hair.
He's lookin good if he can keep it up and drive in better and have more moves then he be a good back up. hopefully that happens out of no where!!! esp right now.
Very impressed with Fortson, didn't really have that good a scoring night but love the aggression and the fact that he kept the offense humming when Dragic sat. DM the GM seems to be godly at finding pgs. Let's see: Brooks, Lowry, Dragic, Fortson, Ish Smith, Lin. That's 6 NBA caliber pgs he's picked now. Pretty effin' amazing considering there are like 10,000 pgs trying to get in the NBA right now.
A friend (Lakers fan) of mine actually brought up Fortson to me the night after the Rockets beat the Lakers. He told me that it was actually a decent signing for us and that he thought Fortson was a pretty serviceable player. Apparently he's a really, really quick player.
