So Zimmerman exhibited physical evidence consistent with self defense? And there are claims that Trayvon Martin attacked Zimmerman... I must have missed those points in the Huffington Post story
It doesn't have any bearing even with retreat laws because that only matters if you concede Zimmerman had a reasonable fear of lethal harm or death. Stand Your Ground doesn't say anything about if you follow and confront someone. That is great but it has NOTHING to do with No Retreat or Stand Your Ground. What we would want our mom/sis/gf/wife to do is not confront the guy. that is avoidance, just note his appearance and time, deal with it later. In practice they provided more ways to prosecute people who they couldn't prove weren't otherwise justified in defending themselves with deadly force. These type of obscure laws don't change the average person's behavior in life and death scenarios.
They are saying Mr. Martin is the father of the victim. Considering his son was shot, I don't see this as a problem.
Where is the evidence? I mean every witness so far believes Zimmerman DID NOT act out of self defense. And who claimed that trayvon Martin attacked Zimmerman besides Zimmerman and the NON arresting officers? You still haven't commented on the David James case....conveniently
A bloody nose isn't necessarily any more consistent with self-defense as it is an attack. Unarmed 17 year olds minding their own business don't attack 26 year olds in the dark who outweigh them by 100 pounds. That is incredibly consistent. Claims from whom? There is A claim to my knowledge and it's from the gun wielding killer.
don't you want to wait to see any specifics/details/pictures/transcripts of what the physical evidence and claims are?
So suppose you don't like someone, you follow them, get into a fight and shoot them and you can claim self defense?
WTF is a telecommunications call taker? Is that guy a cop or not? If Zimmerman was told not to continue to follow Trayvon, can that be considered in this investigation? Yes it will; however, the telecommunications call taker asked Zimmerman “are you following him”. Zimmerman replied, “yes”. The call taker stated “you don’t need to do that”. The call taker’s suggestion is not a lawful order that Mr. Zimmerman would be required to follow. Zimmerman’s statement was that he had lost sight of Trayvon and was returning to his truck to meet the police officer when he says he was attacked by Trayvon.
Bigtexxx IS like a faithful little puppy. He was decimated starting on post 439 and now again. With his tongue out, he just keeps coming back for more, tail wagging. He's so cute. Michael Barry loves you, texxx.
If a lawyers and polices think this way, then this could be good to know if I ever wanted to kill someone Step 1: I need to do is confront him and hit his buttons so that he reacts in an aggressive manner. I'm not obligated to "retreat" since before my insults, he wouldn't actually try to harm me. Step 2: Once he tries to harm me, say throw a punch, I pull a gun on him. As I finally activated the necessary condition for "life and death scenario as I interpret it" for the Stand Your Ground law. Therefore I'd be justified in taking his life.
I don't think this has been posted. Apologies if so but it looks kind of like news. Now even the guy that might be the number one head honcho of Tea Party crazies in Congress -- seriously, check this guy out, he is frigging bonkers -- is condemning the whole thing. These are your own people calling, texxx. Pick up the phone. Even though it is from a black. Allen frigging West. Amazing. http://www.politico.com/blogs/on-co...lasts-handling-of-martin-shooting-118387.html
Not in texas. You would be found guilty of murder because you provoked him, and throwing a punch does not meet the qualifications for using deadly force. If the prosecution could show that is the course of events, you wouldn't walk in any state. Sorry.
Did you copy and paste that from the basso/texxx style-guide for posting to this forum? I remember when I read that guide that was number one then number two was to cry about being called a dick for no other reason than, well, acting like one. AKA, The Utah Jazz strategy: hard elbows and flagrants on one end, falling down and crying on the other.
Well, this guy is(or maybe was) walking in Florida. And as long as I do it in a place with no witnesses, it would be my word against a dead man's. I like them odds.
This has been a tried and true strategy for a-holes since the beginning of time. I just never knew there was a law that supports it for killing people.
BTW this looney tune I just quoted, West, is well known for hating Muslims at least as much as ATW, bigtexxx and basso combined. And even he gets the injustice in this. When you wind up to the right of Allen West you have some real serious questions you better start asking yourself. Like, wait a minute, did I turn into an idiot without noticing it? Or possibly even a racist? I mean, Allen West. Allen West. Who's next? Fred Phelps?
