My current favorite Rocket!! I was like wtf when he started playing in the starting lineup, but now I just am in love with this man.
Also impressed with Thomas. Last pick of the draft. If bothof these guys don't make it in all rookie teams then it proves that the league is rigged.
Wow, only one of those guys were drafted in the top 20 of this year's draft. Two of them were selected in the 2nd round (including Parsons, of course). Goes to show just how weak this draft was.
I'm not an Insider member either... if someone could please post the information about him, we'd all appreciate it
Good for chandler he has been excellent, and he is an excellent example of why PER is a crap way to measure value of a player. Parsons is the ISH baby ! DD
Me to at first thought he suck b ut dude this guy is a keeper..battier Number 2....or better taller..can defend this dude giving our team respect as a Rookie...hope he can work on his shooting and turn to a Rudy gay kind of player !!! I think it will happen tho...dude seem so focus everytime.
That's only if you look at it with a narrow mind. Most people know that Parsons' strength lies in his defense, which PER underrates.
Exactly, thus the reason PER sucks as a measuring tool or a way to discuss whom is the better player. It has major flaws - anyway, we don't need to go off on that tangent again..... We are lucky to have Parsons here, my bad for even brining it up. DD
PER sucks in the same way that PPG sucks or APG sucks. No one uses a single stat for evaluation. You don't need to carry out a crusade against PER like you have been lately. But yes I agree Parsons is awesome.
Amen to this. His contributions to the team do not show up on paper, much like Chuck Hayes always being in the right spot on defense and blocking out his man so another player got a rebound. Parsons is like a top defender in the league in his rookie year, and he has some explosive offense to top it off.
Actually, you use statistics to help verify what your eyes are seeing on the court. I get a kick out of guys that tell me to look at statistics. Like I don't look at them already. But stats are hollow without seeing the game. When you actually watch the game, you can see things happening (if you've watched enough basketball), and then you can verify trends, strengths and weaknesses that you see on the court with the actual statistics.
