Yup. There's always a scene where a character stumbles upon a gruesome looking zombie and goes.... 'Sir/Maam, are you alright?' as if they only had a minor wound or something. lol
I'm not sure if its true in all situations, but typically when you have a broken neck you can't walk..
So being a zombie heals spinal cord damage? I guess Randall's spine didn't have to be severed when his neck was broken.
Is there an anatomy book on zombies that I didn't know about lol? It's a zombie, they're not even suppose to exist.
how do they explain dead zombies being able to walk anyway? and, you guys are worried about whether a snapped spinal cord determines whether it can walk when it shouldn't able to walk anyway? i specifically heard them say on "Talking Dead" they edited out all the zombie breath in the farm carnage scene because it was filmed in 27 degrees and you could see zombie breath smoke. but, if zombies are already walking, then why is it such a stretch that they could still breathe? and, how do they make sounds out of their mouths if there is no lung function/airflow (i.e. doesn't the larynx need airflow to generate sound). or, are they still able to fake breathe and it is just not required for them to function but only make scary zombie moaning noises? lol
What is unbelievable about this show is that none of the characters have realized zombies can't climb ladders... Would be very easy to avoid them .
The zombie virus apparently affects the brain and the brain still controls the rest of the zombie body. That's why you have to shoot them in the head to stop them. You have to destroy the zombie brain. So it stands to reason that if if you broke a zombies neck, it'd be "alive" but would still be paralyzed.
This thread is comical. Any given week: "I'm only giving this show one more episode! If it doesn't improve DRASTICALLY, I'm done." The following week: "What really pissed me off about this week was: (long, drawn out diatribe about things like clothing, the length of grass, if a gun really makes that sound and what the hills of Georgia REALLY look like) I'm only giving this show one more episode! If it doesn't improve DRASTICALLY, I'm done." Rinse, repeat.
Apparently, people are getting really tired of all this bad writing: http://insidetv.ew.com/2012/03/19/walking-dead-finale-record-viewership/ 'Walking Dead' finale draws record ratings by James Hibberd Tags: AMC, Comic Book Adaptations, Ratings, The Walking Dead, News Comments 90 Add comment AMC’s The Walking Dead finale set a ratings record for the network, clocking a truly impressive 9 million viewers. The second season closer was the show’s highest-rated episode ever (and AMC’s most-watched episode of regular series television ever). A full 6 million of those viewers were among adults 18-49, too, which is quite a trick to pull off. Walking Dead ranks as the top-rated show in cable history among the adult demo. (Watch, now AMC executives will think: “If we cut the budget again, the ratings will go up even higher!”) I got to see last night’s episode at the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin where fans literally cheered Rick saving Herschel and the appearance of Michonne. For more, check out EW’s interview with writer-producer Robert Kirkman about the finale, and see our item about which actress is going to be under the hood to play a sword-wielding badass.
it wasn't paralyzed....Randall was up and walking. Its a zombie show so I'm not going to nitpick, but they took the time into explaining some of the biological components such as the "brain stem being active" when the virus is active so they need to be held accountable for that.
Nah, that wasn't even the part I was referring to. Okay, I'll spoiler tag it. But don't blame me if you click it and ruin it. Spoiler Spoiler Are you sure? It's kind of a big deal... Spoiler Really, really sure? Last warning... Spoiler Yep. That's her & Rick's baby she's carrying when she gets shot. No way they do this on TV. No. WAY.
I see no reason not to show this on cable tv. god forbid we have a topless female zombie on a cable channel though
I don't think that would happen in this season anyway would it? Spoiler The Michonne rape stuff would happen here, but Lori's death seems more lined up for the end of season 4 in my mind.
Don't worry. I think the writers are totally setting up for her to die next season. Actually, lets speculate on who's most likely to die next season. My takes would be Lori, Carol, Hershel, with T-Dog coming close a couple of times because writers want to amuse themselves and the audience.
I haven't read the comics at all, but I'm thinking Hershel's insistence on Rick escaping with Carl when they were on the highway was perhaps foreshadowing of Lori's eventual death. I'm also thinking the younger daughter that tried to kill herself will be gone too. Carol sticks around cause Daryl is there to save her. T-Dog stays because he's T-Dog.
I actually don't remember many people issuing those ultimatums lately. Personally, I've already said that I watch the show mostly for comic relief at this point. I want to see what stupid **** they'll do next. It's not scary and it's certainly not emotional (hard to achieve that when most of the characters are unlikable). If someday the writing happens to take a turn for the better, then that'd be great and I'll be glad that I've kept up with the show. As for high ratings, that indicates that people watch. Doesn't mean it's well written or that complaints aren't justified. The general public has made Snooki a millionaire, after all.
