Don't read if you don't want to be spoiled

    Second warning.
The Governor violently rapes and tortures Michonne over and over. Later she gets revenge by cutting his bulge off, gouging out his eye and cutting off his arm. The governor later beheads her boyfriend.

Honestly I didn't really catch the reloading issue. I guess I was too frustrated with other things. But that is a definite peeve of mine when watching films. I don't expect to see every reload happen, but I sure as hell better see it some of the time for realism's sake. It takes just a few seconds to show it and if you cut it right it still fits into the flow of the scene. If you're shooting an action scene with guns, I think it's just lazy to not show some reloads. Only time I wouldn't care is during a comedy. Now I did have a concern with ammunition not seeming to be an issue earlier in the season, and I was glad to see that it became a one in this last episode.

As far as people acting stupid all the time and it probably would be further compounded by mass panic of a zombie attack, that's just lazy thinking and lazy writing. I didn't see that in World War Z. And not in Zombieland with the list. The farm may seem completely safe to Hershel and Maggie, but Rick (and for sure Shane) should have known better and should have planned for every contingency. They're freaking cops for crying out loud. Doesn't mean their fail safe plans would have worked, but the fact that they had nothing except to drive around randomly shooting zombies is troubling.

Another thing that bothered me is the fact that the zombie horde came from one direction, yet by the time Rick and Carl spotted them the farm was completely surrounded. There was no indication at all that zombies were anywhere else except from the horde that came from Atlanta. Not only that but I don't ever recall seeing them break through the wire fence. Wouldn't that have given Rick and Carl enough time to get back? They were a couple hundred yards from the farm house; it was a clear shot. The zombies were coming from beyond the fence. They should have easily made it back to the house with time to spare. Now if they wanted us to believe zombies from the entire area heard the gunshot, they should have either showed that or not shown the zombie hoard coming specifically from Atlanta. That's just lazy editing, directing and writing imo.

I'm having a hard time with the Walking Dead presenting an alternate reality that doesn't include any preexisting notion of zombies.

I've never seen a Zombie movie where they did have preexisting notions of zombies.

Here's a real plot hole for you nitpickers: How did zombie Randall, with a broken neck (by Shane), walk?

Haha, this to me is a real plot hole and an example of lazy writing. His neck was broken. So simple to avoid, just have him killed some other way.

I think more realistically the military would have gone into action and nuked major population centers like Atlanta. Kennedy, Nixon, Castro and McNamara would have effectively defended the Pentagon long enough for them to take care of business.

Also, how come there's not more wildlife. Seriously, with far less humans around, you can assume that quicker moving wildlife would be plentiful. We haven't seen that and I'm pissed.

Also, it rarely rains. In Georgia it rains pretty frequently...where's the rain.

Also, how come they haven't used dry erase boards? Dry erase boards are super helpful for planning. And if the plan isn't good, you can just erase it. Even if you don't have an eraser, you can use a shirt and it still erases right off. Dry erase boards are cheap too! And zombies don't eat them, because dry erase boards don't have flesh!!! Come on!!!

    LOL. Awesome.

I also happen to know for a fact that Georgia is known for peaches, and I haven't seen a SINGLE PEACH in this show.

I bet they're fakin' us out by filmin' this **** in South Carolina or somethin'. Ruins the realism.

So am I correct on this....getting bitten doesn't turn you into a zombie, dying does? Or is it both? Is it possible to get bitten and not turn as long as you don't die?

If that's true, it makes me try to recall anyone they've shot after being bit just because they assumed they would turn.

I think, and I can only base this on the comics because I don't think they've addressed it on the show (and I'm fuzzy even on the comics), but I think any death activates the virus, but a bite can cause a deadly infection that leads to death/turning.

Anyone more versed on the comics could correct me on that if I'm wrong.

In other words, a bite leads to death due to an infection they can't stop. For example, Jim in season one. He was scratched/bit in the attack on the camp and started getting sick, feverish and ultimately started hallucinating images of zombies, before finally asking to just be left on the road.

You turn if you are bitten, it takes time though. If you are devoured by a hoarde of zombies you just die because you are no more and your brain gets ate. If you die at all you turn as well, I assume other than being shot in the head.

Was Dale really suffering so bad he couldn't get a word out? I mean...William Wallace was all sliced up at the end of his life and he was able to scream "FREEDOM!!!!". Dale could have at least said goodbye to Daryl. Dale just had some guts hanging out. It's not like his voice box was removed. ;)

just think of all the nasty in that bite from a walker. All the flesh they've eaten, both human and animal. No wonder they spread a pretty nasty infection when they bite that kills.

What's interesting is that you could probably develop a treatment for a bite to save people who get bit but don't get mortally wounded.

Interesting conundrum...you conflicted yourself there. If everyone is infected, as you indicated by your last sentence, then being bitten doesn't turn you. My guess is that the zombie's mouths are so vile with disease that the bite alone kills you, like a Komodo Dragon. Then you resurrect.

Plothole? Everyone is affected and you turn when you die. They said it in the show, unless I misunderstood your question.
