Interesting. How about lowry, patterson, dally, martin, ny pick for lma and Matthews (bad contract)? Works well if dragic comes back, sign camby back cheap, and draft a center if we have our pick.

We payed more for that Sergio Llull 2nd rounder than we did for this one.
    2 mil for Sergio
    800k for 20 something 1st rounder.

We've talked about this before. The value of a top five second round draft pick might actually be higher than a late first, on account of not having to guarantee a salary for the second round pick according to the rookie wage scale. High second round picks have little leverage, so like Chase Budinger and Chandler Parsons you can lock them up for barely anything for four years, with team options on the last two. That's as team-friendly a contract as you'll get.

Nope. LMA, Scola - where would any playing time become available for Moteijunas? That would be a huge overpay. Huge. Unbelievable.

Try to move Scola then. If not amnesty.

I'm down for trading Martin and Scola to playoff contenders for their 1st round picks. Maybe even Lowry. All three of them can be replaced in such a deep draft.
