Bombay Brasseri on 610 and Westheimer has an excellent lunch buffet. Very high quality indian food Moe
Hibachi Grill and Buffet off I-10 and Dairy Ashford. A hell lot cheaper than Tokyo One and almost just as good. Beware though, that place can get pretty packed at times. Asian galore!
AWESOME! I'm an Aggie (class of '89) who was in mourning since they closed the Double Daves at 249 and 1960 a couple years back. Now I can order my Pepperoni Rolls again. YES! (repped)
Kirin Japanese Buffet (dinner buffet is great!) Tokyo One - Dimassis's - Great bang for your buck. I'm craving some rose water
I know they closed down quite a few in Houston but I went Sunday and there is a big difference in quality between Cicis and DD's. After I finish Cici's, I feel sick and realize I am stuffing myself with nasty low quality pizza. I do not get that feeling after I finish my last slice/pepperoni roll at DD's. also, the spinach and cheese stromboli are almost as good as the pepperoni rolls
I just tried this for lunch on Monday, not bad at all. First place in awhile I found a buffet with dim sum included. The Hibachi is pretty basic, its no Gengis Grill, but not bad either. Sushi was decent, the rest of the hot food was good. Cheap for lunch, around $8 and dinner/weekends is $12. Tokyo One is MUCH better but also almost 3xs the price.
Theres still one up here but 1960 and West Lake Houston but I don't know how long its going to last it looks like theres never anyone there.
not in houston, but... Hill Country Unlimited Texas BBQ, Mon 5–10pm: $25 We love Hill Country on a normal night, so imagine our gluttonous delight at the chance to fill up on endless ’cue. Tell your server you want the deal, and you’ll get a wristband that signifies you’re ready to gorge. Included in the special are smoked brisket, gargantuan pork ribs, dripping barbecued chicken and as many sides as you want (mac and cheese, red chili and baked beans cost an extra $2, but the gratis chipotle deviled eggs, bourbon-sweet potato mash and white-corn pudding suited us just fine). Unlike the regular Hill Country self-serve setup, the waiter brings the food to you. Caveat emptor: To cash in on this sweet deal, everyone at the table has to be in on it. 30 W 26th St between Sixth Ave and Broadway (212-255-4544).
Yes, they actually do. I used to work there when I was 17 . However, despite the fact that the ingredients are actually pretty decent, the pizza sucks. Either that, or I just ate it too much while I worked there.
whatever dude trying to justify cici's pizza to us, yeah right. I use to go to china bear for a while but haven't been in a long time but they had so much ****za on the buffet it was worth the price. IMO anyways.
There is a BBQ Buffet in Houston up at 290 and Fairbanks North Houston called Larry's BBQ Buffet. Pretty decent...I'd give it a 7 out of 10. I think the price is $11.95 for lunch...lots of BBQ including beef ribs, fried fish, shrimp, pretty good salad bar. Like I said, I'm not big on buffets cuz I tend to way over-do it, but I've been to Larry's once and it was OK.
the few decent cue joints we have up here (including hill country) tend to be prohibitively expensive. the $25 offering is a hell of a deal given the circumstances and the fact that the food is pretty damn good.
