I don't see the difference between seeing animals in the wild or at the zoo, I guess those that are free are happier on the inside? ... I did love some of the landscape shots you got, thanks for sharing. This is what you should have done:
At the zoo do you see: - thousands of wildebeests running non stop during their migration? - a leopard sitting in a tree protective of the kill he dragged up there? - a cheetah sitting in the high grass eyeing a pack of impala? - that same cheetah being 'threatened' by a wildebeest in its' attempt to scare the cheetah away and/or warn other animals? - a number of wildebeests standing sentry while a herd of them graze a short distance from a pride of lions? - elephants knocking over trees? - vultures, jackals, hyenas and storks working over a dead animal carcass? - dozens of zebras grazing in a field with dozens of impala, wildebeests and ostriches? Believe me, there is no comparison between a zoo and being out in the wild.
Somehow I managed to forget to post this picture. This is a cheetah's failed attempt to kill a Kori Bustard. http://www.flickr.com/photos/55439965@N08/6857739168/
