Right, it takes 20 days to interview witnesses, listen to the tapes, and have probable cause to arrest someone who admits to shooting someone.
Bigtexxx, you have yet to acknowledge why my statement in post 439 is "shameful"? What is wrong with premeditated self defense? It's just self defense.
This story reminds me of that Yoshi kid.... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoshihiro_Hattori I remember seeing a report about it on 20/20 back in the day. There was a lot of regret and sorrow all around back then, but a least it was kind of understandable. Here, I have such a hard time understanding. And a lot of y'all feed the trolls with multi IDs who just write inflammatory things w/o belief...you know those guys aren't serious. I hope Trayvon's family finds a way to heal. This seemed completely unnecessary. I just hope people can remember this for a long time, and those out there looking for trouble give it a second thought.
more evidence for big racist http://abcnews.go.com/US/trayvon-ma...gation-killing/story?id=15949879#.T2dAfjGPViE
OOh wow...the 911 tapes are released and I'm SHOCKED to have learned........................................................................................................................................................................................................... What 98% of the board already suspected. Zimmerman is/was a racist clown that shot that kid for "looking suspicious" The Sanford police is shady as hell and the FBI needs to probe that whole department and locked Zimmerman up with a bunch of "suspicious" looking people that resembles "the black" and let nature eeerrr justice take its course. "This guy looks like he is up to no good or he's on drugs or something" "These @ssholes always get away" ok
Martin ran away from Zimmerman's truck. Zimmerman pursued. He even lost sight of him. His father lied to the media. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/jL72w4xiTVU" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
No matter how bad the media wants to make this a white dude shooting an innocent black angel, no one looks at that Zimmerman dude as white.
two things that aren't worth debating are whether Zimmerman is white or hispanic , and whether or not the "media" chose to use a photo of Martin as a younger boy instead the hardened hooded 17 year old that he really is. a childless mother had to provide photos of her dead son, I'm giving her a pass for choosing whichever photo she wanted to represent her murdered son.
Nope, what's worth talking about is how the Stand Your Ground statute allowed for a wanna-be cop, who went out of his way to stalk, scare and pursue a 17 year old kid who had been wearing a hoodie in the rain while walking home from the store to buy skittles and iced tea, to shoot and kill during a scuffle he could have easily avoided. This statute is a license to murder without penalty when the stars align for a shooter. Owning a gun is a right and a responsibility that should be held in the highest regard. If people can't carry without knowing when to use deadly force, then perhaps we should be more careful about the laws we enact. What's also worth talking about is that we all know that Martin would have been arrested and charged on the spot if he killed Zimmerman in self-defense because of messed up double standards that still exist in our society. Regardless of his race, Zimmerman figured Martin was suspicious because he was walking while black.
its worth talking about now because the cops didn't perform their jobs objectively like they should have
I don't care about the race of the killer. look at the US Census data on white hispanics vs. non white hispanics. it's not worth it because it just gives fuel for the double standard apologists who blame the media for controlling how the public thinks about the murder of a black kid walking home.
Clearly You got the facts wrong. I wonder what the response would be if the neighborhood was poor. Oh I don't have to wonder because kids are killed there everyday and the outrage is minimal. When something is fits into the preconceived notions people have, they rarely question the facts. When something doesn't fit into people's preconceived notions they are highly skeptical.
