The wheels have really fallen off UNLV. They were awful. I thought they had it after closing within two. Baylor is fortunate because UNLV has the athletes and talent to beat them regardless if Baylor plays well. To get past Colorado, they have to be patient on offense, don't settle for too many outside jumpers and don't let Colorado have uncontested 3s.
Is it possible that Baylor makes it to the elite 8 while only playing double digit seeds yet again!?! You guys sure know how to pick your bracket slot ... I think Kentucky-Baylor will be a fun game to watch
Holy crap, I hope so RMJ. I'll take all the help we can get. But I don't that it's particuarly uncommon when you're a 3 seed. Something about that 6/11 matchup that breeds upsets. Just looking back on last year's bracket, Purdue was a 3 seed...they beat the 14...and then played VCU who was an 11. Had they taken care of business vs. VCU they would have played Florida State, who was a 10 seed. That means they wouldn't have touched a single digit seed until the Elite Eight, when they would have played Kansas who had the top seed.
It's great Baylor is advancing to the Sweet 16, but their front line has to be more productive. They have a cakewalk to the Elite 8 where Kentucky will be waiting. Gonna be a very good week for Baylor fans until next Sunday.
I'll take the chance at a big upset! That's why they play the games. Elite 8 two out of the last three doesn't sound too shabby either.

I think we've got a legit shot to beat Kentucky, I just hope we don't overlook Xavier. This team is definitely talented enough to go the distance, but that talent often seems to let the team relax and get outworked. I hope we're far enough into the tournament now to take everyone seriously. How a team as long as Baylor is can get out-rebounded blows my mind.
that's been my biggest criticism of them this year. no excuse for that. hopefully they'll play with urgency every game now...all game.
