Myers was the most important signee in my opinion. Good news, I would still pick up a free agent or draft a OL.

Now onto waiving Jacoby & picking up a WR. Mike Wallace anyone?

Ugh. Great. Now we have to find a replacement for Brisiel. I'd just draft one.

My guess is Caldwell will replace him. He took Brisiel's spot last year when Brisiel got injured. I don't remember Caldwell being all that bad.

    8 years/$57.4 m. $25 million guar.

Texans definitely experienced some growing pains this offseason, but I'm glad they've been able to retain the key free agents.

Thank god. Texans FO were starting to worry me with the O-line.

Yeah he wasn't too bad. Is Butler supposed to start too now?

Big sign! - as was stated, if you had to have 2 keepers for long term, it was C, & LT positions, and it appears we have helped that happen now and later ...losing big eric was the only ouchy.. Brisel is pretty replaceable

The storm is over. Losing Mario was unavoidable. Some sorry team was prepared to overpay ...

As of right now butler is replacing Winston and Caldwell for Brisiel. A healthy butler I like. Caldwell has never been as good as I would have thought but I dont think he bad by any means.

I'm guessing they will go with those guys but I'm sure they will be signing/drafting some other guys.

Myers basically got the same deal as mangold but half the tenure

I'd go with the WR. We've been struggling to find a WR2 for years and it's even more imperative now that AJ's older and more injury-proned.

If we cut Jacoby, they'd have to use a portion, if not all of the money saved to... replace Jacoby. His release would leave 2 active WRs on the roster. With Butler, as well as Newton (whom they apparently really like), Winston's money can be diverted to other need areas because they have guys in place, under contract, who they believe can fill his spot.

I don't like them screwing around with the OL, either - but it was the smartest approach to an unfortunately crappy situation.

I'm still not sold on any of the WR falling to the texans at #26. I think they should go for another OLB to add depth.

2nd round is up in the air. They still need LB depth overall and Oline isn't out of the question. Let alone a WR.

I'm thinking 2 LBs, a WR or two, one Oline guy and a TE. If they lose Dreessen they need another guy in there. I like graham as a pass catcher but not sure of his blocking
