High upside? You have got to be joking.

Maybe that is Morey's problem he doesn't know what a high upside guy looks like.

As much as I ragged on Morey for yesterday, I will say that I probably would have done the same thing on him. He was worth a shot but man did that backfire.

If losing a first round pick in the 16-22 range is his "epic fail", then he is an amazing GM.

Well it is certainly not a win, when you give away a first round pick for basically nothing.

Seems like wonderboy got beat by the Russian in this one.

    Hindsight.

I can bet most of you were ecstatic when you heard that we traded for a lottery pick player in his second year for only a non-lottery pick.

I was excited they got TWill, and less than thrilled they never played the guy big minutes to let him find his way.

Seems that if you are going to make a move like that for a guy with high upside, that you actually let him learn from his mistakes while playing.

Now, maybe Terrence is such a dummy that it was never going to work, but if that is the case, than Morey should have known that and done his homework and not brought him in, he gets paid a lot to avoid these kinds of mistakes.

It really doesn't matter what us fans think we are not paid to make these calls, and Morey is, and when he gets it right, we cheer, when he coughs up a hairball like this one, we get on him, and rightfully so, too many of these and he will be run out of town - again, rightfully so.

I don't think they buy him out... They are hoping that he retires rather than play in Houston. That way the Rockets don't even have to pay him one dime....

Fisher is a punk... He cried all the way home after he signed with Utah. L.A. is his home, I would think that he is so endeared to the Lakers organization, that he just flat out retires.

Why would the Rockets buy him out? Nobody wants him, force him to retire!!!

You have to take chances. And they don't always pan out. It's not that bad.

Nobody has ever been fired for anything regarding mid to late first rounders. Those can pretty much be acquired at will, as we saw in the AB, Battier, and Hill trades. Based on those trades, such picks can be bought for 3-4 mil straight up.

Crap. I thought he was going to get some time at the backup PG.

I for one am happy, that the Rockets gave all 4 guys every single chance to succeed!! They just got outplayed by the rest of the roster. The chances that they develop now, are slim! But I'll admit I won't pull against any of them, it just was not to be here in Houton for them.

Luckily, the Rockets have a lot of hard nosed guys on the roster - who didn't give up because lottery picks were brought in to compete for their jobs. It just happened to be that the rest of the Roster refused to be outplayed by this four bunch of low motor guys!!!

Lee, Patterson, Drogic, Parson, Budinger seemed determined not to get outplayed by that bunch of physically talented guys!!! The 09 lottery guys merely lacked the basketball IQ and instinct to make it work in the NBA.

Talented athletes, but not NBA players - at least not under any coaching staff they've played under.

You simply don't play guys with bad attitudes no matter what. To reward them is to penalize the hard workers/ good attitude guys and it condemns your franchise.

I was pretty excited when we got TWill.
But he couldn't get on the court for 2 different coaches. Acted like a 2 year old on Twitter. Darkened the locker room with his demeanour.

No reason to gift a moron playing time - no matter how talented they are.

It was worth a shot, but you don't compound a mistake by making a bigger one (sacrificing playing time for Lee/Budinger to give Williams a go)

twill shouldnt have been rotting away here anyways. great for twill. but as a rockets fan this is a depressing day. the most exciting player on the rockets just got binned like he wasnt even worth a 2nd rounder.
