I applaud the rolling of the dice. This crapped out. TWill is talented. GGreen finally has seen the light, so it seems. One day so shall TWill. Maybe.
The Rockets now have two open roster spaces. Anthony Carter was waived by the Raptors yesterday. He'll be on waivers for 48hrs.
Someone clarify this for me: does this mean that we used our amnesty on him? or that he was waived but we still pay his contract since it was guaranteed?
yep, sometimes you lose when taking risks. Truly i don't fault Morey completely, but i do think he needs to put more emphasis on attitude and emotional stability when considering adding players to our roster.
It was false hope I was hanging onto with T-Will. He was never going to break out in Houston. He needs consistent PT to get in rhythm - and the only time he got that was in the 2nd half of his rookie year (and he averaged like 15/6/5). In sparing minutes, he never found his rhythm, and actually was a detriment at times. I actually think he has ADHD. Hopefully one of the cellar dwellers can pick him up and give him big minutes.
Wow, that just means that no team was willing to give us anything--ANYTHING--for the guy. If someone would give us a bag of chips for him, Morey would have pulled the trigger. Just WOW.
Question: So, to fill the 2 empty spots, do we just sign a player from the free agency list? I'm not sure how that works so can anyone enlighten me?
This boggles my mind, not even a late 2nd rounder or an expiring low contract? He must have really low reputation around the league because of his character issues.
Good riddance T-Will. Maury, please don't give away first round picks for notorious headcases anymore.
unrestricted free agent. unless it was a salary dump move ala hill for fisher. teams are giving up assets.
