This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone, especially since Dwight isn't coming there next year anymore.
Off to Dallas. NJ just flushed a high draft pick for one year of Gerald Wallace. What a waste. I wonder if they'll take Kevin Martin. He and Wallace and Farmar would be off the books at the same time. Hell, I'd do it just to get our pick back, even if it is gonna be in the #15 - #18 range.
Opt in, 17M Extension with Nets, 57M Opt out and re-sign with Nets, 100M Opt out and sign with another team, 74M
Of course he will not opt in. Whether or not he wants to stay in NJ, why would he essentially choose a 1 year contract over a 4 or 5 year contract? BTW, did Deron just call Dwight Howard a monkey? Did he call himself a monkey?
Potential winners coming out of the Dwight Howard fiasco: Nets Potential losers coming out of the Dwight Howard fiasco: Magic, Mavs Actual winners coming out of the Dwight Howard fiasco: Mavs, Magic (sort of) Actual losers coming out of the Dwight Howard fiasco: NETS, NETS, NETS
Morey will go after D Will hard in the off season. He has wanted him for a long time. With Lowry's stock going up, we could trade him and get someone else who is very valuable. Hopefully we can sell him on the City of Houston.
I'm trying to understand why they traded for Gerald Wallace. I guess Deron Williams pushed for them to make a deal for him? I heard that he has had some say over their personnel decisions.
Curious to see what Cuban does. He'll resign Dirk, add Williams... then what? He was planning to have room for 3 max guys. Does he wait around another year? Try and swing a trade using cap flexibility? Or overpay available players? I think Portland might be positioned to make a run for Williams too. Wouldn't mind seeing them catch a break.
