To help this year, and that's it. Which is more than Flynn and Thabeet would have done.

We basically exchanged a second rounder for some additional help this year. Another one of those "meh" deals.

You don't seem to realize that we will still owe our pick to NJ should we miss the playoffs this year. We need to get rid of the obligation now.

Not too sure NY makes the playoffs. They are currently 9th seed and have a very difficult schedule the rest of the way. Bucks just improved a lot...

I like this move. I dont see why some of you are tripping we get rid of flynn who is terrible and who most of you have b****ed about, and thabeet as well, another person everyone b****es about. In return we get a legit back up center who can help us with rebounding and clogging the paint for the second unit.

Not the splash I was looking for, but I still like the deal. At least he will play for us. It is an ok move at best; not a bad deal, but not a great one either.

We've also beaten the #2 seed Spurs twice and lost once in OT. I'd actually like for us to stay #7. Clippers seem pretty beatable too. We'll see on Saturday.

A 37-year-old center is the best that Moneyball Morey can do with his "assets?":confused:

camby is 11 million...plus we gave up a 2nd rounder ... we do not have the space for multiple draft picks anyway.

Some positives to think of -

-Young PF's - Patterson, Montiejunas(if Camby is resigned), & Hill will be able to move other to their natural positions full time. The depth at the Center position will help them develop their games alot more than if they were constantly outmanned, and outsized every night having to carry the load against Centers.

-Scola- Scola will be able to be masked a bit more on defense, and his offensive production should continue to increase going into the last stretch of the season. I expect big things out of him.

-Potential depth for 2012/13- Rockets will surely look to bring him back on a small contract next year for depth at the Center position.

-Open up the ability to trade Dalembert this summer. His contract with the buyout option should be a sheet asset on trade day.

We just had to wait for a aging player to meet the required age.

For all of those who complain about Camby pushing us into the playoffs, thus ensuring the loss of a draft pick to New Jersey... I don't see what all the fuss is about. I believe that protection rolled over for 4 years (unsure, pulled that out of my ass, but regardless it rolls over). Many of the "pundits" have backed down from claims of this being an unreasonably deep draft. On top of that, I'd rather give up a pick in a year where we have two (this year with NY) than end up going through a year without a 1st rounder completely.

Inside D should improve at the very least.

Morey makes another underwhelming minor improvement. At this rate we should be in the finals by 5 years from now. If we keep on making these slow improvements. Maybe 7 years to win the Championship.

Would've liked picks more, this basically kills our 1st round pick this year and helps nothing for the future.
