It's the same thing every year...

I type "Rockets trade" into Google and hit Enter to get back a bunch of stories on violence in Israel.

Only way the Rockets land a 1st round pick for any of these guys is if they agree to use their expiring deals to eat a contract (like they ate Jared Jeffries' contract).

Even if they tanked now it'll only be a middling first rounder. The playoffs money would contribute more to the franchise's future than that pick.

i'd take a 1st rounder for Martin at this point. And as much as i'd like to make the playoffs this year, i'd like to rebuild even more, so we probably should move Dragic as well. Those two really need to be traded by 3pm today.

I hope we've been shopping for 1st rounders all along, as that would be the best strategy considering many teams are going to wait out the last 25 games and make deals on draft night.

Yeah, probably looking for deals similar to what Portland got for Wallace for Scola and Martin.

Both Dragic and Lee are young. Why give up young players for the future when they should be part of the future? Unless, of course these picks have a good chance to be top picks that may land us franchise level players. But I doubt Lee or Dragic can give you that. Trade Scola, Martin, or Dalembert for picks would make much more sense.

Why do I always feel this guy waits till the last minute and is never prepared when nothing is left?

It's because he's desperate, Morey is heavily overrated as far as his business sense goes.

Waiting until the last minute to trade McGrady's expiring contract sure blew up in Morey's face.

Keep Scola. He's the only NBA player that actually wants to be in Houston

The Rockets seem to like Martin more than Lee, right or wrong. And Lee wants a chance to start elsewhere.

The Rockets won't keep Lowry and Dragic beyond this season IMO. One of them will go, and I think it will be Dragic.

There is really not that much to brag about. I am just thinking its th 11th hour again. Teams have done stuff already. There is no rule saying he cant get something done he feels is right for the team ahead of the 11th hour.

This is what I don't understand. Why do they want to hold on to Martin? If they trade Martin, Lee will be our starter. He's restricted. We can sign him for the market price.

I understand the Dragic part. He's probably wanting to be a starter somewhere else too, and he's unrestricted. That's gonna be too expensive to keep him.

I'm getting the feeling Lowry is going to have injury issues like Baron Davis. They have similiar body types.

Lowry had a back issue last season. This season it was a foot injury, now he has some kind of hip problem. It's not looking good I reckon.
