Shopping for firsts doesn't automatically mean were blowing it up. Knee-jerk thread and completely redundant one at that.
do it with new orleans, email the commissar first and get his blessing. after that just keep drafting 6'11 to 7' players, one has to pan out.
Where did you get "we are blowing it up" from this? First, someone will have to agree to give us the 1st round pick. Second, looking for 1st round picks might well be similar to what they did with the Battier/Brooks trade last year. Got 1st rounders but didn't exactly blow up the roster.
We'll probably give up Dragic or Lee (or both) for some picks. If you can't improve the present, improve the future. Another underwhelming trade deadline, it looks like ...
True, they were looking for a first rounder for Flynn. It could simply mean they're after first rounders for the 09 busts.
Late first rounders = more "assets" = too many players that can't play = mediocrity repeat every year.
What team out there is dumb enough to offer a 1st rounder for any of our 09 players (outside of Budinger)?
They'll package the picks to try to move up or maybe a S&T deal. We already have too many players as is, when factoring in Llull and Motiejunas who could be brought over.
