The Lakers obviously have the trade exception from Odom but I thought they were big on dialing down their salary cap. They're already gonna take a massive hit without adding Sessions' salary (unless they're sending someone out?)

It seems like we only want to make deals that are lopsided in our favor. New Orleans would have gotten Odom, Martin, and Scola from that trade -- terrible for them. Its no wonder we're finding it more and more difficult to get trades done in the last year and a half. Stern was right when he said that was a bad trade for "basketball reasons"; he was wrong for not intervening months earlier while the talks were going on.

He must have been holding out hope for pairing Martin with Gasol or Howard. The Rockets are overrating Martin, big time.
Have you not been following the NBA? LA wanted Lowry. Indiana and Chicago wanted Lee. NOH wanted a bunch of our players until Stern vetoed it. If a trade is not made it does not mean that nobody wanted the players. It just might mean that the trade proposed wasn't worth it. Just because you have money doesn't mean you have to go spend it unwisely.
Morey can't seriously be overrating Martin, he's a smart man. He just can't I refuse to believe that.
