The Rockets are like our kids... they don't have to be nobel prize winners i just want them to have direction and be competetive as a team and give their all as individual players.
You're making fun of the texans right? Well the 10 year plan is working now and the texans have one of the brightest future in the nfl and look to be primed for sustained success.
It was late when I typed that, didn't have much sleep. I had the feeling Howard decided to re-sign with the Magic more because he was being traded (to Houston) rather than to keep fans in Orlando happy. It's like the Rockets are stuck in this position for years to come. The only way to land two top free agents was to give up everything for a D12 rental. We were close, then D12 hears how much fans want him....really? You waited till the last day to decide you wanted to keep the fans happy? BS, it's not about the fans it's about keeping D12 happy. He doesn't want to play in humid ass Texas even if all it means is 11 home games in Houston, and 10 away games.
No, my post had nothing to do with the Texans. The 10 year plan thing was referring to Morey's (seemingly) endless pursuit of a game-changer or serious upgrade in general for this team. And battlefightin' no longer applies to the Texans. They're battle winners at this point.
The Rockets beat the Thunder without their starting PG and their best player. I don't think many teams can do that. Injuries don't hurt the Rockets like before.
The Rockets were down double digits with a couple minutes left in the game. That they won was a minor miracle. It was great fun to watch, but I don't put much stock into it.
Even if you didn't refer to texans it doesn't change the fact that a year ago people were making fun of the texans in the exact same manner for battle fighting and such and ended up being wrong.
Again: so what? This is a life decision for him here, it should be all about keeping D12 happy. He doesn't owe it you, me or anyone else to state exactly why he'd stay or leave. Of course he's going to say it's about the fans....if dude doesn't want to come to Houston, so be it. I don't care if he tells me so or not. If fact, I much prefer the typical, "I'm staying for the fans and their support," over "I didn't want to play in Houston, so F it...guess I'll just stay here in Disneyworld." Wouldn't you?
I was referring to their ability to win games and withstand injuries to key players. You can't blame Daryl for any of this. It's not his fault stars decide where they play now. I agree, but it's too difficult to rebuild this team via trade. We have too tank.
I'm not even sure what you're getting at. First of all, apples to oranges. Big time. And nobody was wrong for making fun of the Texans over the years just b/c they're good now. Those who made fun of Kareem Jackson falling (for instance) didn't do so with the thought that the Texans would be garbage forever. Those who chided Carr weren't wrong for doing so then and they wouldn't be wrong for being happy for the Org. at this point.
