Why are Jacoby Jones and Kevin Walter still on the team?

They both should be cut immediately. I'd welcome Walter coming back for the vet min. "There's no replacements" is bunk because both are no better than a street FA, and potentially worse. Laurent Robinson was a street FA last year for God's sake, at least roll the dice on someone new while saving quite a bit of money in the process.

No, I meant flat out cutting Jacoby, even if we didn't sign a replacement, wouldn't save much money.

Trying to find the article I saw about that.

Joby should be gone for sure. He does nothing anymore in the kick return game so can't make that excuse either. When you have more lateral than vertical yards in kick returns that's a issue, lol.

I think both end up staying, team signs Myers and Texans draft a LB and OL to replace Mario and Winston in the first couple of rounds in the draft.

[rquoter]Fans also wanted to know why the Texans didn’t cut their favorite target on offense — receiver Jacoby Jones. The coaches like Jones more than the fans. Plus, the Texans already need one receiver, and without Jones, they would have only Johnson and Kevin Walter, both of whom turn 31 before the season.

After the initial wave of free agency in which so many teams overpay for players, there will still be a lot of unsigned free agents. That’s when clubs get better value. And that’s when the Texans will probably sign a few veterans they can get for close to the minimum.[/rquoter]
