We already have our offensive post player in Luis Scola. He sure as s... is not being paid for his defense.

Ask yourself this; is Gasol's post defense/rebounding that much better than Kaman's to make it worth the what we would have to give up?

I think Scola needs to go too. He's not getting any better and his value is only going down. We need something in return.

I could right a book about how much better Chuck Hayes would make this team right now. I really miss that man. It would be crazy if Morey got him back in a KMart trade including us getting Kaman in a 3 way.

I absolutely agree, but KMart is so much higher on the list as of who we need to get rid of ASAP.

I think Scola still has atleast a few more good years in him and he would be more productive with a better Center, but ya, we need to take advantage of his value while it's still there. I just don't want us making stupid trades just because it's the deadline.

A frontcourt of dalambert, gasol, and parsons would be very effective defensively. If we can start lee in the backcourt all of a sudden our starters would be damn good defensively. I just wish we could keep lowry.

That is some scary ass defense... Only thing I would be concerned about is team chemistry. If they gelled together that would be amazing though.

Scola's post game has deteriorated significantly, he doesn't block shots, and he doesn't rebound at an above average rate.

He never blocked shots, but true; his rebounding, positioning and blocking out are all weakness' in his game. IMO he's still a LOT more valuable than KMart though. Hopefully the league does not see it like that.

Could all this talk about Howard going back and signing an extension with Orlando still be fake? Mike and Mike is on now, and the ticker still just says that the Magic are looking into trades. Little Mike just mentioned live that Dwight could be traded: 5:05am. Nobody on ESPN has reported anything regarding Dwight signing or agreeing to anything with Orlando. Is this just ESPN waiting for it to be written in stone and then broadcasting it like it's breaking news?

Could still easily be fake. If it is, I hope RealGM gets sued for it.

I'm starting to ponder that maybe this reporter who lives in Orlando and is "friends" with Dwight made this story up out of spite of losing their superstar. Who knows? All I know for sure is that I have to be at work in 4 hours and I've lost too much sleep over this. [IMG]

Sheridan confirms it. It's over guys.

I'm glad Morey has some time to look at other options.

Parsons is a good player. But imagine if Parsons could shoot like Novak from behind the arc! That makes him a 2 way player. That makes him Special.

That's what makes Lee better than Martin at this stage of their games. ANd I am not talking about the slumping Martin we currently have but the hot scoring Martin. Lee has become a 2 way player. His defense is solid and he delivers on offense now.

You got a love Scola's effort and his offense but he is just not a 2 way player. Down the stretch he can't rebound and he even struggles to score. Gasol is a two way player. You can argue that Scola is better offensively ( I disagree) but Gasol is clearly a better rebounder and rim protector than Scola. He's a 2 way player. In addition he is a go to guy. Scola was not. In the fourth quarter coach bench's Scola because his defense suffers but also because his offense suffers late in the game when they focus on try to stop him. Gasol is a better fourth quarter scorer. Don't get me wrong he is not Love but he is better than Scola. That is why trade for him over Scola. He is a definite upgrade.

You can argue that Lowry and Scola are too much for Gasol and I won't disagree with you too much. But this is a league of winning battles and Gasol helps us win the battle at PF on most nights and that doesn't even include the fact he can slide over to the 5 and give us the best back up center in the league.

I know people are saying but Lowry is young and too good. And those are true statements. I think what Lowry does is even more than his stats. He sometimes wills this team victory. But he also is inconsistent and has shown a propensity to overdo, to force shots late in games and to blame things on his teammates and the refs more and more when they do not workout. Some of his behaviour reminds me of Rafer. And to add that he doesn't have a real go to move at the end of games and yet he is our best go to guy. That's terrible.

But if that being said I would probably never do the deal (Maybe I would) if we didn't have Dragic. He's what makes this deal a no brainer to me. He gives up very little over Lowry. He's not as good a defender but he is good. Just had to watch him get under Westbrooks skin to know that. He has as least as good court vision which IMO will only get better once he gets more starters minutes. He can't bull over people like Lowry but he can get to the basket better than Lowry and right now is a better goto guy late in games. IMO there will be very little drop off from Lowry to Dragic. I think Dragic is good right now and there is a chance he will only get better. And the plus side to this is Stern may have done us a favor by not allowing us to trade Dragic early on.

Trading Lee was the dumbest thing Orlando ever did. I can't believe they didn't recognize how perfect of a supporting roleplayer he is to put next to Dwight. Their loss, and they can't have him back... hopefully we sign him to a long term deal in the offseason.

Remember, the championship Lakers were at their best with Pau Gasol at the 5, not the 4...

Would it be fiction? I love Hayes. He got more out of his body than any center in the league but the size disparity was just too much.

Oh you might want to right to write.
