RealGM breaking a story before Wojnarowski? Highly doubtful:

Didn't the Magic give him a deadline?

Will they just allow him to break that deadline?

I'll believe it, once it's signed. I can't remember a day as crazy as this. At one moment, he's staying. The next, he won't sign over his ETO and now this. We'll just wait and see. Great player but definitely not a fan of the circus act he's put Orlando and their fans through this season.

Haha just saw this before going to sleep. I expect the reported decision to change 3 more times by the time I wake up.

Why should we believe it? And would Howard do everyone a favor and grow up? What a ****ing Man Child! That's assuming there's anything to this "report."

He's Dwight Howard. He can choose the Coach and GM if he wants. If Dwight wants to sign, no chance they would stop him.

No franchise caliber player has ever waived his eto. That's their leverage, the contract is designed to give them that. This is very surprising.

Why is Dwight doing an interview with some scrub reporter from RealGM at 1:52 AM in the morning before a trade deadline?

He has a lot of fans in Orlando who are probably begging him to sign with the Magic. They are probably saying things like this team was built for you and we have nothing without you. Dwight's a really nice guy and he doesn't want to go public and say he won't re-sign, but he's subtly letting everyone know he won't. The organization knows he's not re-signing with them.

I expect the tone of many Rockets fans towards D12 to change if the Rockets land him. Then the whole dilemma would be how do we keep him. I can't blame him for leaving. We all see the mess in Orlando, and it's his decision. Why does he have it if he can't use it? But it's like he expects people to forget about it if he doesn't say much about it. He doesn't want to end up like James.

This is a simple thing of Howard wanting his cake and eating it too. He wants to play in the playoffs with the magic and opting out in season end and signing with the nets and letting them keep their assets instead of getting traded now to the nets and them gutting the team and not make the playoffs.

Dwight has way more fans. People in Denver were eager to see what they'd land for Carmelo, and they didn't want to end up like Cleveland.
