    Who is Lowery?

You don't seem to realize how valuable Kyle Lowry is. He is head and shoulders above Brook Lopez as an asset on his own. What makes his value even higher, is the fact that he is making no more than 6 million dollars for the duration of his contract. Are you freaking kidding me? And you think a team would prefer a center who averages 3 rebounds a game? His strong suit,(literally the only thing he does...) is scoring the basketball. Even in that regard, he still isn't very efficient in terms of production for a center. It isn't even close. At least learn how to spell Lowry's name before you deem him a lesser asset.

There is a HUGE need for starting point guards around the league. The Lakers say they would trade Gasol for Lowry in a heartbeat. Do you honestly think they would trade Gasol for Lopez, even if they didn't have Bynum? Resounding NO.

I hope no one gets desperate and bids too much for what would very likely be a 21 game rental. Teams must understand that you give too much and you will lose too much x10 in this trade.

Another thing I hate is no one would help facilitate a trade for Howard because it "would" hurt there chances of getting him.

I don't really buy this argument that much. How is it that Love and Pekovic have both been averaging double digit rebounds starting together? You can take rebounds from the other team and rebounds your other big had no shot at. It's not just a zero-sum game between your PF and your C.

Humphries might be taking a couple rebounds a game from Lopez, but he's so far from being a good rebounder right now that it doesn't really matter if you add those back into his totals.

For the record, although I am defending Brook Lopez's rebounding ability, I think Lowry is a better player and asset due to him already being locked up to a cheap contract and I'd say Houston's theoretical offer involving Lowry is better than the Nets'.

Nikola Pekovic has double Brook Lopez's REB% and he plays next to Kevin Love.

Ryan Anderson has double Lopez's REB% and he plays next to Dwight Howard.

    That's a weak argument.

I think Dalembert could definitely be in a deal, but to be fair, he's over 30 now and he is not a long-term building block.

There's no arguing who the better player/asset is and who will have the better contract. The supply of quality centers in the NBA is too low, and the demand is high. It's not every month a 7 footer is born.

NJ - Brook Lopez, Mehmet Okur, Marshon Brooks, Jordan Farmar, Sean Williams, Kris Humphries, the Rockets lottery protected 2012 first round pick and multiple second round picks over the next 4 years.
    For
ORL - Dwight Howard, Hedo Turkoglu and Jason richardson.
Is the BEST possible deal for orlando could get for NJ if its just a 2 team deal. Of course two things would haft to happen for this trade to go down. Kris would haft to agree to be traded and NJ would haft to say yes.

Can the rockets top that deal? Would NJ even go that for for dwight, or just roll the dice to sign him? are the questions.

Well for my argument, I'm throwing out this year's numbers for small sample size - he played an injury-riddled 136 minutes.

The year before his rebounding rate was 10% (which would be league average, but obviously below average for a center) playing next to Kris Humphries who grabbed 22% of the rebounds.

Again, I'm not arguing Lopez is a good rebounder, I'm just saying he's probably about average when not playing with Humphries. Anderson and Pekovic are obviously way better rebounders than Lopez.

How would you guys feel if Friday morning we wake up with Howard and Gasol and still managed to keep Dragic Lee and Parsons along with some 09ers and Dleaguers on the team.

Ppat, Donatus, Martin and 2 first round picks plus Dalembert for Howard

Scola Lowry and fillers for Gasol

Before this season, Scola made Lopez look bad in more than one matchup, did he not? I've don't think much of Lopez, although he's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.
