I think Lowry + Parsons + Knicks pick is better than Lopez + Brooks + Nets pick anyway.

Keep in mind that the Nets aren't far behind the Knicks and will probably pass them if they acquire Howard.

Lowry is better than Lopez. Parsons is a better defender, passer, and rebounder than Marshon Brooks but has a lower ceiling. I think that's a wash, maybe a slight edge to Brooks at the worst.

Keep in mind that the Rockets can always offer a hell of a lot more than Lowry + Parsons + Knicks pick. The Nets top out at Lopez + Brooks + first rounder... they can offer nothing more because they HAVE nothing more.

this X 1000 as currently constructed this roster ain't winning a risk like this is worth it because either way the franchise is moving forward long-term

 

Remember one thing though guys, Howard doesn't want to "be the bad guy." Dont think he would be necessarily be potrayed as the "good guy" by leaving Houston after only 8 weeks.

Dwight coming here is a pipe dream. I don't think it's worth it for Houston to sell the farm for a rental. He really wants to go to New Jersey. I'm actually okay with it in the sense that it blocks Cuban's plan for Howard and Williams to team up in Dallas.

 

Let's hope Otis feels the same way.

Thankfully for us, Marshon Brooks has cooled down.

Brook Lopez, Marshon Brooks, Kris Humphries is all that they have. Everything else on that roster is complete garbage.

We have so much more. Established quality players like Lowry, Martin, Scola, Dragic and Dalembert. Cheap, quality young players like Parsons, Budinger, Patterson, Morris. Foreign assets like Motiejunas, Llull. Picks, expirings, etc...

If the Nets are the only competition, it would be a mistake on the part of Otis Smith to go with any Nets package.

 

The fact that this is even being discussed as an acceptable package for a player of Dwight Howard's caliber is absolutely mind-boggling to me.

 

I tweeted Dwight a few months ago telling him how much he would love it in Houston, and he followed me!

How ironic would it be if DMo was included in the trade for Howard after the Press Conference last summer

 

The reason why im sceptical on Morey's offer is because I dont believe he will take on Turkaglo along with Howard if he is, in fact, taking him as a rental. Morey is smart enough to know that taking on a bad contract could set the team back alot if Howard walks.

Don't think he'll be seen as a "bad guy" though. No one will blame him for leaving a city and fan base that really couldn't invest much into him in 2 months the way the city of Orlando did over all the years he was there. Might actually be a way for him to leave a team w/out anything and not look bad doing it.
