It doesn't matter--NJ can't beat what we can offer without including D-Will, which of course they won't do

Brook Lopez is a better "Asset" than Kyle Lowry or any other Rockets player.

Magic can always flip Brooks and get something valuable in return.
Rockets will end up with the Silver Medal in Dwight H sweepstake.

Bullsh**. Brook Lopez is worse than Lowry when he's on the floor AND he's always injured. Lowry alone is better than Lopez + their first round pick (post Howard) combined. Lowry + Knicks draft pick + Parsons is better than any combination of assets NJ could possibly offer.

Not enough outgoing salary to make that trade work. However....

Martin, Scola, Dalembert, Lowry WOULD work.

    Dragic/Flynn
    Lee/Budinger
    Turk/Parsons
    Patterson/Hill
    Howard/Smith/Thabeet

I believe that is true. Except if they include Marshon Brooks and a 1st round draft pick which they wont.

This has been said many times, but, if we gut the team for Howard and he walks, we can finally enter rebuilding. Win-Win if you ask me.

Why does this take so long? Just send them a copy of our roster and tell them circle who you want then give it to them and take whoever they want to send with Dwight!!! No one is untouchable on our team!!!!!

They dont have to. Otis Smith just wants the offer from Houston to be good enough to make the Nets offer better. We dont know exactly what their offer is for Howard, but the reports earlier from Mannix were that Morey's offer was "something he could live with." Truth is we really dont know what he's willing to pay for a rental vs. what he's willing to pay under normal circumstances.

If true, then that means the Nets have at least two players that are better than anyone on the Rockets, yet have a much worse record in a worse conference.

Brooks scoring is a product of being on a terrible team. Hes obviously not contributed on the defensive end and is a terrible rebounder.

True, as long as we don't lose to much youth in the trade. I would hate to lose Motiejunas or the Knicks pick. It would be very hard to see Parsons go as well.

While I really hope we keep Dwight(if we get him), this may be the ONLY way Les allows Morey to truly rebuild.

Best chance we have in getting Howard is if the Magic try to fleece to much from NJ and they decide its just best to take there chances in FA with Howard.

I wish I could find the interview but last year Avery Johnson made the comment that he dreams of a center that can rebound. An obvious shot at Lopez.
