Why do you think that? He wouldn't pay Dragic if Lowry is still here plus Dragic is an unrestricted FA and someone else will give him a chance to start. But Lee is an RFA and is worth the $$

At this point Orlando pretty much has to trade him. He's trying to hold their franchise hostage and any owner with any ego whatsoever should not tolerate that.

IMO they have 2 options at this point:

    1) Concede and just trade him to the NETS which is what he wants and get Brooke Lopez and whatever else they can.

    2) Trade him to a WESTERN conference team so they don't have to deal with him. That's where we come in. And if anyone can pull it off, Morey can... Howard is a player I'm sure he'd gut the roster for. And hope he can convince him to stay by giving him max $ while having enough to sign DWill to partner with him. That would be be our dream scenario!

So the Rockets were accused of tampering with Dwight.. and now we're the most serious "rental" team.

    Hmmmm.

I'm willing to give up Bud, Lowry, Martin, our first this year and NY's first for Howard. Not future pick though, because then we have no chance to rebuild if he leaves.

NJ has a much better offer though with Lopez, Brooks, James and two first rounders from this year. Those picks could turn into Kidd-Gilchrist and Perry Jones.

You have to think that NJ might be reluctant to offer much when they know there is a very strong possiblilty they can get him for nothing in the offseason.

I wonder why the Lakers don't just nut up and trade Bynum for him.

No. NJ would be stupid to gut the team for Howard. For one, they could just play the wait game till the off season. Second, if they gut the team, they will end up with only 2 stars+nobody, and a high lotto pick that may or may not pan out. Don't thiink the two stars would be happy about that. Then you may end up losing both in the off season.

That may not be a bad thing though. Here enters Houston...:p

I have been critical of Morey in the past but one thing I do believe is Morey is a quick learner. Driving around in a red truck clearly taught him a lesson or two. I suspect he knows we would have to make the finals and show him we are real competitors to even have an outside chance of signing him. And even that is a longshot. I am sure Morey has an exit strategy if Howard walks.

No that team isn't even better than the current Orlando team with Dwight. Why would D12 agree to stay in Houston for that?

It's MUCH better than the current Orlando team. You underestimate just how terrible Howard's supporting cast is there. They would be Bobcats level of suck without Howard sucking in defenders and dominating the paint on defense.

Morey is probably throwing packages left and right in Otis's direction. It's Dwight or bust.

He won't stay here cause of Adidas they want him in LA or NY and they can pay him upwards of 200 million dollars they will decide where he goes they don't want him here because we have the same colors as the bulls and they got D rose locking up that market! Its economics the shoe company doesn't have a salary cap so they can push him where they want!!!

You don't think he is a big enough national star to get his even in Houston? He is.

What Houston has in favor of New Jersey

    -Well coached team
    -Great front office
-Besides a superstar PG, they have a better supporting cast
-A good team without a superstar unlike New Jersey

I heard that he already has a deal with Adidas for like 250 million if he can get to New York yes he is a big star but Adidas wants him in NY the fashion capital of the world and they are his true employers so unless Peak gives him ahuge deal he won't stay here!!! Lol
