Scola would be the better candidate

He will be dealt instead of being cut for amnesty. I am sure his contract with one year remaining will be of benefit to some team. Maybe RA will want him.

It was just as low his last year with the Kings when we traded for him, and he still brought back Carl Landry for them (at the time a promising young stud).

This. GM's are starting to operate more and more like Morey. Buy low, sell high. Lets face it, its a slump. The guys didnt just all the sudden forget how to shoot the basketball, or blow out a knee. A change of scenery and he's off to a career year... Oh and he's going to be in the final year of his deal. Players ALWAYS want to get paid. He will bounce back next year.

Kevin's trade value might not be Pau Gasol, or a Bobcats first rounder, but it should bring back something in return. No doubt he is being shopped right now as we speak, or part of a potential mega trade that might or might not happen. Either way, waisting your amnesty clause, or WAIVING HIM would be incredibly stupid.

With Sacramento he still managed to average around 20 points before the trade... now he is down 17 ... and under 10 on the road.... and has been a semi cancer....

Kmart is the ideal player to team with Howard. He is still a great shooter off the ball.

I dont think amnesting him is dumb at all but I do think it is circumstancial. I dont think you should just cut him but if you cant trade him now and come offseason, you have a shot to use his salary to sign a big free agent then i think you do it. You dont just cut him without a plan to use his salary though

It is hard to say with Howard and his indecision.... if things go well

Howard plays with Martin for 15 games.... playoffs not included.

My god, why some people can make threads is beyond me.

What possible purpose does it serve to amnesty Martin?

You don't amnesty your 2nd and 3rd best scorers, wtf are some people thinking?

You really think no teams out there aren't salivating over the chance to have Martin as their starting SG. Same goes with Scola, teams that need an offensive post threat will give up something to get them. You amnesty players like Stephen Jackson or a Rashard Lewis, players that add nothing to your team and are detrimental.
