I'd rather listen to the rest of the Knicks roster than you. If he were really a bad coach then all the players would quit on him. Everybody including the players themselves know who the loser is, it's the guy that's been past the first round of the playoffs once.
That about sums it up. It's D'Antoni trying to smash Carmelo and the new Knicks together and saying....
I'm mildly surprised D'Antoni quit instead of making the Knicks fire him. But the miserable look on his face before the Bulls game spoke volumes. Woody gets his chance. If he can't do anything with it, the Knicks will be blown up over the summer. Their own poor decisions got them to this point.
Knicks are dumb. They should've gotten rid of Melo or Stat. It's not like Dantoni or any coach is going to make those guys get rebounds and play with effort on defense.
Resigned? Negotiated exit, I'm sure. In other words, the man gets paid. To leave quietly. PJax and Dolan? I wouldn't bet on it; I'd bet heavier on Zeke redux.
Wojnarowski on Jim Rome: D'Antoni did not lose the locker room. It's basically the locker room vs Melo.
Knicks fans are delusional by nature and they cling to denial about Melo being the problem. They soo want it to work out that they are celebrating Mike's resignation. Aren't they in for a surprise when the excuses are up and Melo becomes Starbury 2.0.
Will Mike Woodson have the balls to bench Melo? Any other course of action will not reverse the Knicks fortunes (win for the Rockets?)
They're going to play a lot of iso-Melo, which negates Amar'e, Chandler, and Lin. This is going to be a joy for me to watch.
Good for the Knicks pick. Let that loser kill the team with his 20 points on 25 shots. Especially with half the team sick of him and quitting. Go Cavs and Bucks!
