I've been saying it, what ever team trades for him outside of Dallas and NJ, are going to be royally screwed!

The guy will leave and free angency and what ever team trades for him will have nothing to show for it then probably Hedo Turkoglu's albatross contract!

With that said If the deal only involved Scola, Martin and Dalembert I'd do it.

i'm not so sure if renting dwight is such a good idea. if his agent feels the rockets have undermined him then his stay will be short.

i'm warming up to the idea of trading for pau. the lakers want lowry and beasley. get a 3-way happening with minnesota.

the rockets would then have the cap space to sign deron and re-sign lee and dragic.

if they can't sign deron they'll have an opportunity to get harden in 2013 when the new tax is in place. ibaka will also be a free agent.

What's stopping Dwight from opting out anyway after their season is over? Legally, they cannot force him to stay even if they have a verbal commitment from him. Sure, it's pure bush league and he'd be reviled forever by Orlando, but there's nothing stopping him. They only thing to prevent that is if he signs and extension, which he would not have to do. Or at the very least it just delays the inevitable for one season.

 

Orlando mgmt would be beyond idiotic for not making him do it by tomorrow, if that's possible.
