If you believe in a pure numerical approach, this isn't that ridiculous. Still a little high, for sure, but not ridiculously so. He plays relatively limited minutes - still under 28 per game, yet averages 12 points, 9 boards and 2.5 blocks. On a per 36 minute basis, that's 15.5 points, 11.6 rebounds and 3.2 blocks. He has a 19.7 PER, which is very solid. Those numbers are better than Nene, Chandler, and Marc Gasol, in some cases meaningfully so. And he's younger. Gasol got a contract starting in first year just under $13 million, Tyson just over $13 million and Nene right at $13 million. Now, I concur that you have to consider the Javale McGee factor. He's a headcase. He's got a pretty bad +/- rating. No one on the team plays more minutes with a worse +/-. Which is just strange, honestly. because even give the headcase issues, he shoots at an efficient rate and does put up the stats - he blocks shots, rebounds, etc. I know you can't just look at the stats, but they do mean something, and when combined with things like +/- should start to paint a picture. Wall and Young actually have positive +/-'s. Yet McGee plays 57% of the teams minutes, all at center. Anyways, I'll leave the in-depth statistical analysis to someone else. I think McGee will definitely get 8 figures, but probably closer to $10 starting off then $14.

Yea, a 7 footer this young leading in blocks will get 10 milion at least. Someone will think they can give him some therapy and un-dumb this idiot and take a chance just bc of the scarcity of his mold. But man, this guy is just classic comedy. I would love to watch a TV show following him around just to see all the dumb things he does. I know you guys have seen the youtube thigns on him and his alter ego Pierre....just great material, even better knowing this moron is dead serious
Mcgee is another prime example to just not use PER or not to overvalue PER. Remember, with PER, rondo is not a top 15 PG in this game....which is absurd. Rubio is not a starting PG in this league with PEr ANd Javalle, while he puts up tats and a decent per(even had a triple D) is a nuissance to his team much of the time with his mental impact. I think Mark cuban and all the guys who are in charge at the MIt sloan deal sort of slapped Hollinger in the face saying they hardly put any weight on PER
I could see him getting a 4 year 45 million dollar deal. I'm not a fan but he puts up numbers and he's an athletic 7 footer. Someone will bite.

So there's a new saying, "the stupid get stupid rich" Anyway can't believe there's a sport science for javale mcgee simultaneous dunk. They should've dissect his brain which would be more interesting than his dunk <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/OrpdA5BRx3U" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
