According to reports, Carmelo Anthony is not happy with the Knicks. As you can see, the Melo-Amare-Lin thing is not working. Here are a couple of sources that explains the problem in New York http://www.insidehoops.com/blog/?p=9420 http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/carmelo-anthony-plotted-new-york-knicks-exit-after-chicago-bulls-defeat-031412?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter I feel that we have the assets and young players that I feel the knicks front office would like and we all know that Morey still wants that STAR? Should he give it another shot and try to get him again?
He already came out and stated he does not want to be traded. The Knicks are not going to trade him anyway.
if we are going to build around a star, it needs to be a big. I am a Houstonian, it's the only way I know...
Depends what u give up to get him. He's better then everyone on our team and can take over a game. Granted he plays no D u surround him with players that do
I don't think melo is going to get traded, but if we did i see no reason why not to try for it. since lowry and lin both play pg we automatically keep lowry, and since they chandler we keep the bear, and since they have stat we keep scola. The bear, Scola, Lowry and melo > our roster.
I don't consider Carmelo to even be all-star level. One of the most overrated guys around. His talent doesn't matter when his style of play kills team chemistry.
http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=8xosjs7 Plus we can throw in their first round pick. Don't know if I would do this trade but something to think about.
I'll stick with Parsons at the SF .... Look at another position for the superstar talent. Melo is just a volume scorer , a bigger (better) version of K-Mart. First choice - Josh Smith. Smith along with Dalembert and Parsons would be a solid front court.
As with any trade...it depends. If all we're giving up is Scola, Martin, and one or two of our minor prospects, I don't see why not. Melo's an elite scorer in his prime who doesn't have nagging health concerns. If they want Lowry, Parsons, Patterson, Donatas, or their pick back, they can get lost.
Amen!!! I totally agree!!!!!!!!!!!! Would rep if I could. How many posts do you have to have to be able to rep posters?
Kevin would utilize Melo the right way. We're in a unique position here. NY and the Rockets need to make music as we have their pick and they have our star go to guy. I'm about rebuilding, but if he can be had in such a way that we can still go get Gasol or someone of that ilk, then I say go for it. Les doesn't want to rebuild, so I'd love to see this.
