I'd think G.Vasquez would be a better fit. I'd love to do a deal with the hornets for any of the following - Okafor, kaman, gordan, vasquez or minny's pick.

    I would deffenently do:
    Martin/Twill/Hill/their choice of pat/scola
    For
    Kamen/okafor/Gordon

We keep Scola and that looks like a good deal.

Teams interested in acquiring Chris Kaman are being told that New Orleans won't take on any more payroll. Makes a deal tough.

This makes the Rockets offer much more appealing IMO. The only issue for the Hornets is that they will most likely have to waive a player beforehand to make room for the incoming bodies (09ers).

Now the only issue is that draft pick that you know the Hornets want. If the Rockets can just stay firm with the 2nd rounder then might get Kaman as the Hornets keep this deal in their back pocket as a last resort.

    Hasheem Thabeet
    Jordan Hill
Choice of Jonny Flynn or Terrence Williams
    2012 MIN second round pick

A decent second rounder and a chance to save the other 29 owners a little cash.

Take it or leave it, Stern! (You would have saved your owners more money if you took this deal the FIRST time!)

It seems like to me, from what I can read between the lines, that the deal has been very similar to this in principle but has hinged on the draft pick which of course NO wants the Knicks pick, and the Rockets only are willing to give them the 2nd rounder. Who blinks first you think?

I hope Morey stays true to this trade offer and not give in to the offering 1st round pick.

Not Morey. No way in hell he gives up a potential top-10 pick to rent Kaman for 23 games.

If Stern doesn't blink, then he can enjoy explaining to his owners why he decided to just eat Kaman's expensive contract on principle.

The Hornets are going to have to release a couple players currently on their roster first. Im going to be real interested if the Hornets all the sudden waive Foote, and others.

The deal is contingent on the draft pick. The Rockets have a 2nd rounder Im sure they wouldnt mind sending, but Im sure NO is hedging on getting that Knicks first round pick.

I agree with you here, but I just know how Stern was with the lockout. That is one stuborn b*stard. This deal obviously will come down to the wire.

If it comes down to a the NYK pick, I think Morey would back away from the table. IMO that's the best move there.

Kaman is not worth a first rounder. Stern and company can continue to ruin New Orleans so they can move that team somewhere else when its bancrupt.

This kills any deal for Okafor or Kaman...who's realistically left to get now?
