NJ landing a top 3 pick and D12 for nothing is scary.

As long as Dmo or Parsons aren't involved. I would only do Lowry if he's the only major piece and we can resign Dragic or sign Dwill.

    Exactly.

Let's just circle the drain 2 more years.

According to an Orlando analyst they interviewed on NBA TV, that's one of the main reasons why he is saying he wants to stay in Orlando the rest of the season b/c he doesn't want New Jersey to have to gut their team in order to trade for him.

To quote KG "Anything's pooossibleee!!" But I'm telling you Dwight is hell bent on going to NJ with DWill and is smart enough to know how to keep the Nets tallent intact.

I am not above taking players from the Nets to get Dwight here. So what if Dwill is on the Nets? Can we convince him to come here with Dwight and thus convince Dwight to stay in Houston for the max contracts? Who cares if we have to step on their toes to also get both. Thats what it takes. If you have Dwight and he starts to want to get Dwill to come here instead of the other way around? Then maybe it works? The only problem is Morey cannot convince people on the situation like the Lakers GM can and others who have a way with words and convincing. So people right. Not worth it to chance it with Morey.

    It's not the only way.

Howard isn't going to solve all our problems if we also trade away most of our players.

Howard needs time to develop chemistry and learn the playbook. By the time this happens, we'll probably be either out of the playoffs, or stuck in a low seed and lose in a 7-game series to a high seeded team. All the while, Howard will be packing his bags for NJ.

Posters on this board claim that we can rebuild. Yeah, rebuilding isn't fun, especially not if you've traded away most of the good players on this team for a rental.

I don't want the Rockets to look like a crappy team (i.e Charlotte).

Better to circle the drain for 2 years than for longer than that, if we gut the team for Howard.

If we had a good GM that could convince those two they could win a championship here I would be all a board. We do not. So we should not chance it. Somehow Morey could not sell a Rockets championship over a never has Nets organization.

    This.

The Nets are moving to Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Nets. In New York City. When it's possible for them to play in New York together, why on earth would they choose to play in Houston?

Can't we just sign Howard and DWill in the off season with our cap space?

It's time to make a move and take a high risk. I'm tired of where we are.

If he wants to stay, d-will might also come, and the net is a crazy reward in which we could be the best in the west. If D-will doesn't, we'd still be one of the best.

    If he leaves, start over.

I don't believe for a second we will get him, but I will find it amusing if Orlando does not trade him, they have 0% chance of keeping him and if they don't trade him they will get nothing, and they cant compete in the East.

What would be their reason for keeping him?

Actually it is a good idea .... we should go for Howard and then let him go to the Nets..... We can finally start over and the ever big Spender Alexander has no other choice than supporting a terrible team.

Yes. I realized Morey is the GM. He could never convince Dwill and Dwight the Rockets have a better chance as a organization to win a Championship even though the lowly Nets have no such history of doing so.

If Dwight Howard comes to Houston, the Rockets will go to Orlando. Who will be left to play?
