But losing everything is the "easier way to rebuild." Why would they want our mediocre team vs blowing it up and getting a Kyrie Irving in 2013?

Weird how cf.net will say they want to blow it up, yet think Orlando gives a crap about being us rather they risking Howard or blowing it up. They blew it up with TMac to get Howard, what makes us think they won't do it again.

    Order of preference for Orlando:
    1. Howard stays
    2. Howard leaves and you blow it up

    .
    .
    .

    3. Trade Howard for Morey's assets and become mediocre.

UPDATE: After posting 24 points and 25 rebounds in a 104-98 overtime victory over Miami Tuesday night -- Orlando's second victory in three games against the Heat this season -- Howard told reporters he's informed Magic management he wants to finish the season in Orlando. The Magic, Howard said after the game, must now "roll the dice" that he'll opt out and return to Orlando as a free agent.

"I told those guys and I've been telling them for the past two or three weeks now that I'm going to stay and finish the season," Howard said.

New Jersey can NOT match our offer even if they try. Brooks Lopez + Marshon Brooks is a crap return for Howard. Lowry, Martin, and lots of picks, foreign assets, and young rookie contract players is much better.

As long as it doesn't involve anything more than the NY pick I'm ok with it. Huge gamble, but that's how winning teams are also made.

He's just trying to play them like Lebron did Cleveland. Does he think they're that dumb?

I'm sorry, but I really don't see the point in gutting our whole team AND probably losing draft picks for a player Rhys just gonna pack up after the season!

Go after someone we can keep!

Howard is a nice guy. Do you expect him to say: "This team sucks without me. We won't win a title. The owner doesn't surround me with good enough pieces. Get me outta here."

Perfect situation for this team, honestly.

If Howard decides to stay, the Rockets win big time. If Howard decides to walk, the Rockets get to rebuild.

Tell the Magic they can have their pick of whatever players they want for Howard.

He is gonna do them raw exactly like I said Bosh would to Toronto. He is gonna leave them in free agency for nothing. If he is with us? He is the type of person who would do the same to us too.

I just have a feeling that when I wake up tomorrow, a trade will have gone through.

why would they want a scola in his 30s? replace scola with lowry and add the ny pick, along with sending them twill/hasheem and taking back hedodance.
    something like that.

more than likely it's just propaganda by the magic to get glorious nets owner to take the bait.

I can almost gurantee Parsons will be in the deal. What I'm saying is Orlando will want young talent Patterson, Parsons, Lowry it may not be 8 for 1 but it will hurt and isn't the reason Dwight wants to leave lack of tallent around him? Well we would be Magic south. Orlando can get a better deal and they know it, Rockets will have to offer the moon to stay in pursuit.

Get Howard! Even if he decides to sign somewhere else after the season, the Rockets can always do a SnT! Howard would get the extra guaranteed year on his contract plus more money and the Rockets can get some pieces back if not a HUGE TPE.

I really wouldn't want to lose Donatas or the Knicks pick in a Howard deal.....

Eh, if were gonna clean out the team for something i'd rather it be young players and picks. I'f we trade for dwight its pretty much a 2nd round exit and an expiring, nothing to build our future around because our pick would be a mid first rounder going to the nets and the knick's pick is probably not gonna be high enough for us to get someone decent.

    Lowry
    Martin

PLUS PICK 3-4 OF THE FOLLOWING:
    Morris
    Motiejunas
    Llull
    Budinger
    Knicks pick
    Future protected Rockets first Rounders

You're telling me that doesn't beat the Nets offer? Get serious.
