    Or, maybe this...

Martin, Scola, Dalembert, Morris, and a first-rounder to Indiana for Granger, Hibbert, Hansbrough, and Foster.

Trade a package with several players including Martin to get Danny Granger, or trade Martin (in a package) to get Al Jefferson ! If we could get one of those players at the trade deadline I'll be a happy guy ...

I want Danny Granger. He is not Carmelo Anthony but he is better than Kevin Martin. He has actually been a allstar before and can carry a team late in games.

    I'm hoping for straight cash.

Trade all our picks for cash.

    Trade Martin/Scola/Dragic for cash.

    Trade the 09ers for cash.

Decline all team options and rake in the cash.

Let's get on board and get Les some cash.

    First trade:

Rockets trade: Martin, Dragic, Thabeet, Morris and the 2012 1st round pick (NY).
    Rockets receive: Melo and Bibby.
Why? All-Star SF ... and Bibby can't be worse than Flynn, can he?

    Knicks trade: Melo, Bibby
Knicks receive: Martin, Dragic, Thabeet, Morris and the 2012 1st round pick (NY).
Why? Martin and Lin could become a nice backcourt combination for several years, because Martin doesn't demand the ball. Dragic could become their 6th man as PG/SG back-up player and with trading Melo to Houston they clear cap space to resign Dragic. Thabeet is just an expiring contract and Morris is a nice talent they can develop. Getting their pick back, could seal the deal ...

    Second trade:

Rockets trade: Scola, Bud, 2012 2nd round draft pick (T'Wolves).
    Rockets receive: Jefferson
    Why? All-Star PF/C in return ...

Knicks trade: Douglas, Shumpert and a future 2nd round draft pick.
Knicks receive: Josh Howard and $ 1.6 M Trade exception (from Jazz).
Why? Douglas and Shumpert are expendable after they received Dragic and Martin (1st trade with the Rockets). Josh Howard provides some experience and seize at the SF spot.

Jazz trade: Al Jefferson and Josh Howard.
Jazz receive: Scola, Bud, 2012 T'Wolves 2nd round draft pick (from Houston), Shumpert, Douglas and future 2nd round draft pick (from NY).
Why? They have many bigs, but get a decent and less expensive PF (Scola) in return. Besides that, they add talent with Douglas (PG), Shumpert (SG/SF) and Bud (SF/SG). They can still package several talented players to add a starting PG. Receiving two second round draft picks, could seal the deal ...

Rockets line-up (for the reminder of the season)

    PG: Lowry/Bibby/Flynn
    SG: Lee/T-Will
    SF: Melo/Parsons
    PF: Jefferson/PPat
    C: Dalembert/Hill/Smith

Pretty decent and balanced (offense/defense) starting 5 ...

He is actually better than both Carmelo Anthony AND Kevin Martin. He can carry a team late in games, but he ALSO AT LEAST TRIES on defense.

After reading through this thread, I cannot help but wonder if the title should not have been:

Hallucinogenic  Houston Rockets Trade Ideas - 2011-12

    or

Fantasy  Houston Rockets Trade Ideas - 2011-12

    or

Anything that will fit into the ESPN Trade Machine Houston Rockets Trade Ideas - 2011-12

    Or

NBA 2K12 Houston Rockets Trade Ideas - 2011-12

Anyhow, a very entertaining read that would get most GM's except DM tarred and feathered in a public square for thinking of these deals. If Daryl could pull off any of these deals, he would need his cell phone bronzed!!

Why? He is most likely gonna turn down any extension, take a 1 year qualifying offer, then bolt to NY or another large market.

Why is everyone so quick to give up on Morris and trade him away?

But then again most of the trades mentioned on here are way out of touch anyway.

This is for next year. Meanwhile we'd probably get our 2012 pick back with Flynn as our pg, no SG, Smith or Patterson for our C, etc.

    Bogut / Smith
    Gasol / Motiejunas / Patterson
    Parsons / Bud / Morris
    Jackson / MLE FA
    Lowry / Llull

Add NY's pick, most likely our own 2012 and Minny's 2nd to plug some holes (backup C, SG, PG)

Decent amount of D w/ a decent amount of O. Has some holes but I believe they can be filled.

The thing that hurts me most is helping the Lakers.
