uh i think ppl were tricked into thinking he was already an all-star.

the guy def has some all-star potential....he avgs like 16 and 8, those are some good numbers for a basic rookie.

It is, his numbers (barring TO's) were good in that early winning streak, but what do you expect from the NY media covering a NY player? I was certainly excited for him, a fresh face to root for and a good popularity rivalry to Rubio at the time.

Don't know how people could think he was already an all-star. I thought Rubio was more deserving even at that point. But Rubio makes for bad meme's. Lin is just full of Linning.

He knocked the ball loose off Rose quite a few times - plus 2 steals from him. Rose needs to work on his handle :p

Also today's game was a typical Lin game - more like how he played in college - filling in the stat sheet across the board - points, assists, steals, blocks and rebounds

Which probably means he's getting more comfortable

I have watched Lin and know some people who have played against him in college, the best way to stop him is to put a taller defensive player on him because Lin cannot shoot well. Idk if that has been tried in the NBA though.

Lin looks taller than Rose on TV though both are listed at 6'3". Anybody agrees with me?

    This.

You crank that up to 20/10, that's guaranteed AS (starter or bench).

Dallas tried that with Marion, didn't go so well, Lin hit 28 points and 14 assists :)
In any case, Lin is a better shooter now - he did get coaching in the off season to clean up his shot.

Yesterday's game was a back to back game, and the first one Lin has played decent in an all round game since he started.

Lin should list himself as 6'4". Ray Allen is shorter and lists himself as 6'5"

his defense is terrible, he gets beat off the dribble by all pgs, he doesnt know how to go around the defensive pick at all. watching him play he is just trying to pat his stats so he can get a job for next year. i dont blame him

I really don't think an PG can't guard an Elite PG in the NBA one on one and lock them down. You need Team defence, which the Knicks are terrible at!
His opponents can't stop him from penetrating one on one either.

In any case Lin did a good job Brandon Jennings last game in the 4th - about as close as lockdown as you can get. Like I said he's getting more comfortable and learning fast. And fatigue is a big factor when it comes to defense.

    wait melo? what.

he's not padding his stats dont be a r****d. he's trying to win games he's just not good at a lot of stuff atm and neither carmelo or stoudemire know how to cut off a defender going to the basket

he's also developing a bit of Yao complex where getting the **** beat out of him every game is part of the "features" of his game

did dallas really use marion on him all game? i find that really hard to believe, especially when hilights came out and jkidd was watching him. Correct me if i am wrong, but with a taller defender (that is not 37 years old like JKidd) I've seen him become very limited.

Your thinking of the 2nd time they met since Lin broke out.
The first time they had Marion on him plus traps

Lin still has difficulty going left. That has been the biggest adjustment on him that I've seen

ok i wasn't talking about 7 feet tall people lol. and watching the Marion tape he didn't even move, it looked like he wasn't even trying... So yes they put a taller SF on him, but the guy is terrible at defense no matter what. I bet Parsons could destroy Lin personally

Glad Lin talk has died down. Maybe people can judge him one way or another without getting roasted now
