I thought the Touchpad had that nailed down, as it doesn't have any metal parts inside to speak of, and was easily modified to remove any others which could have caused problems in the radiology area? Is the new Ipad the same way? If so, cool.
I'm smack dab in the middle of the French Quarter, returning Thursday in time to get the iPad delivery Friday. Yea!!
Have you checked delivery times? They're up to 2-3 weeks worldwide now. You may wish to hurry your decision making.
Oh the irony We already knew that Sammy made some of the processing chips inside Apple products, but now Samsung is the sole vendor of the new iPads displays. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-03-13/samsung-supplies-apple-with-touch-screen-for-new-ipad.html
Frienemies is the term we use in the industry. My company is probably the top customer for all our major competitors.
Looks like mine is shipped, just holding in TN it looks like. Should be in time for Friday. Also, direct grab @ new resolution: http://i.minus.com/iCco4OXFKtpsr.PNG
Yeah same thing with mine, they will just overnight it on Thursday. Screen grab looks like an ipad 2, it'll be interesting to see some better images.
What I meant is that for any computer screen to be FDA cleared for radiology diagnosis it must have at least 3 million pixels (MP). With the retina scan, the iPad now meet that benchmark. As per the "not having metal" angle, I'm not sure.
