A healthy Zbo and Marc Gasol are better, but a healthy Bogut and Gasol would be an awesome front court to have though.

    No way.

    Gasol/Bogut > Gasol/Zbo

    agreed. but keywords: WHEN HEALTHY.

bogut/gasol is a better combo..but with just lowry and a solid perimeter shooter...that team would be good, but not good enough to beat the Heat or perhaps other top teams in a 7 game series.

We would be a top 3-4 team in the West..might make it to the WCF...but that team would never win a championship..and thats even with the "if healthy"

(not mention bogut and gasol would be eating up MUCH more than half our cap.

bogut/gasol defense and height would be amazing..def put them over zbo/gasol.

but still not enough to win.

I couldn't agree more, but who will Bogut have to guard at Center in the West that can cause damage? Bynum is the only person I can really say. You could through Marc Gasol out there.

I would hate to lose Lee because I don't see Martin being here much longer. His body language tells us he's already checked out.

Find me one 'pundit' who put them almost on equal footing. I like the idea of acquiring Bogut, but we don't need to get absurd about the kind of player he is.

Other than David Robinson, who did Hakeem have to guard in the West?

That's the beauty of having a great defensive center, he guards the paint... not individuals.

I want Bogut, and if we don't get him, I will be disappointed.

I just feel that Zbo would cause more of a match up problem than Pau Gasol. Maybe I'm not giving Pau enough credit, but Zbo in the playoffs was a dang beast.

So according to the report, they are looking for another team to take on Stephen Jackson.

Hmm, wonder if the Rockets are willing to attach some assets to see if their are any takers for Stephen Jackson to make this a three team deal. IMO Budinger and Patterson are very replaceable, so they can be add on's to Jackson.

Maybe a border line playoff team or contending team would be willing to take on Jackson, because the guy can still produce.

Yeah, that's why I think Bogut would be a great piece to this team.

Are the Bucks wanting the NY pick as well?

Even if it comes with Sjax salary and no guarantee of Bogut's health?

Sjax and Bogut would occupy half our cap next year. and if he's not healthy, that thought makes me cringe.

Rockets would be setting themselves up for a few more crappy middle of the pack years. NOT what we want.

    Championship contenders or nothing.

If Rockets get Bogut without SJax for Lee/Dalembert...you do it. I'm not saying that you don't.

I wonder if the Clippers would be interested in Jackson? They need a SG. Butler and Jackson on the wings would be a killer.

Gotta break a few eggs to make an omelet.

I'm tired of sitting in purgatory.

Bogut being hurt is always a concern, but the same concern arises when your team is based around any 1 or 2 good players.

If Bogut's injury pattern had been anything other than erratic, I'd be worried. But it hasn't. I say do it.

That's why I think it's important they get Scola and Martin off the books. Mainly Scola though. Martin will still have value next year, but man is he hurting it so much right now.

McNair: "We have a quarterback we like. No surprise Manning talk. Texans are ideal fit."

His tone kinda leaves the door open, IMO

    Wrong thread, obviously :p

CP3, Jackson, Butler, would be an elite defensive group. Kenyon Martin off the bench with D.J. would form a really good defensive line-up.
