Rumors are floating that KM feels unwanted because he's constantly the object of trade rumors, and sure, that could be affecting his play. But seriously, could he possibly be THIS bad without making an EFFORT to be?

    Last 4 games: 6.5 PPG / 28.8 FG% / 13.3 3PT%

And as Clutch pointed out, he's been dismal on the road for a while.

    Last 6 road games: 5.3 PPG / 24.3 FG% / 10.0 3PT%

That's not just a slump -- for a SG guard of Martin's caliber, those numbers are inexplicably dismal.

I wonder if he's just tired of this situation and trying to not-play his way out of it.

If Martin wants to be traded, he certainly isn't helping his trade value.

If he wants to be traded he is going to have to try a little harder because right now no one is going to trade for him.

This bum should stop getting butt hurt and actually start trying so we can trade him. He's useless now. And I agree with AGX, he's not helping his trade value if he wants to be traded.

No, but he may be making a trade more likely. The Rockets didn't hesitate to pick him up when he'd missed half a season with an injury that some people said might hamper him forever. And throwing in a 35-point showing in the middle of all the single-digits nights certainly would make other teams think he's a capable scorer who's currently in a bad situation.

this could be true...but by doing so his trade value has decreased significantly making teams not want him.

I actually think that Martin, before the last two games, was really pressing, and was actually trying to make things happen by trying to go to the line alot. It didnt work out and I think this whole slump is mental. This is a baseball player like slump.

I dont think he is trying to tank his value, I really dont. He does not have a history of being a knucklehead, but he obviously he has shown that he can be weak mentally at times. Martin is just a player that, if he isnt scoring in bunches, is completely worthless. Thats what he has been pretty much this whole season... in a slump... and worthless.

Martin will have to find a way to bounce back next season when he is due his last payday of his professional career. Even if the Rockets cant get good/decent value for Martin in a deal this week, dont be surprised if he has a roaring comeback next year.(oddly enough in his contract year.) If anything can motivate this guy, its money.

If he doesn't get traded this week, its not the end of the world. If anything, for millions of dollars, I would predict a comback at the very latest next season. That is why you DO NOT trade him for nothing. The Rockets dont need the cap space. If worse comes to worst, just sit him for the rest of the season. That is the better option than trading him for nothing... Trust me.

The thing about him.. he won't get any younger meaning he won't get any better... he can only lose out.... decline.... offensively
    Defensively.... a now show.

    What percentage did he shoot?

Scottie Pippen averaged 18-12-6 in the playoffs for the Rockets, in a similar fashion.

(Awful, untimely pull-up jumpers that were KILLERS)
