How high of a pick can we get for Schaub? Im thinking 2nd rounder.

 

If you can get Peyton you gotta do it. You just have to. It gives you a window of about 3 years to get a SB. Window is open, let's not waste it.

The thought of adding Peyton Manning to this squad seemed impossible at first but now still has a chane to come true! I wouldn't doubt that he comes to a team that shows great leadership and has good management in place since the Texans inception. Lets go Texans!!!

 

Man, if we could trade Schaub to the Cardinals, Broncos or Dolphins for two second rounders or even a first rounder? And then sign Peyton...I must be dreaming.

 

The Carson Palmer trade set the bar. That should be the starting bid.

 

When we traded for him, we gave up 2 2nd rounders and switched 1st rounders with Atlanta (we went from 8th to 10th). This was when Matt was just a 3rd year backup. I'd hope we'd be able to at least get the same if not more now that he's proven he's arguably a top 10 QB (in the 2nd tier behind the elites).

 

His stock is at an all-time low being in the last year of his deal, technically over 30, and coming off a career threatening injury.

Trading him to anybody other than the Shannahan's probably wouldn't pay out very well.

If we land Manning though, all bets are off. ALL of the QB chips will be at our table, and a team like the Chiefs, Dolphins, etc would KILL for a guy of Schaub's caliber, even with all those factors going against him.

 

I wonder if Miami would give up a first for him if they miss out on Manning. They could draft maybe Cousins or Osweiler and develop him over the next 3 seasons.

 

Think of how sweet it would be for TJ Yates to develop under Peyton Manning for the next two years.
